Grays reception?

Good, bad or indifferent? A polite ripple from me. Did some great things for our club but maybe left under a little cloud and the cupping of his ears to our fans used to really wind me up!!

Depends on whether he scores

He did the job he was paid for whilst here... Didnt really seem the player to go beyond that for us.
I'll let him walk out the same as any other opposition then try and get under his skin and off his game from the first whistle.

He won't be getting the nice welcome Keane will get but then I won't be booing him.
Rather than "tweets what he wants...", the odd chant of "He's always off side, he's always off siiiide, Andre Gray, he's always offside!!"

Can't knock his record here, i'll give him a polite clap. Bet he gets booed though

Stick to clapping and cheering our mob.
No need for booing or owt like that.
But he's nowt to do with us now.

just silence, completely ignore him. He did well for us, we got a good fee for him.

One of those players that I could never really take to, but no doubting he did well for us in the Championship.
We got plenty goals and a massively OTT fee for him so I won’t be booing (not that I’d boo any ex player) and at a push I might give him a brief applause, if he’s substituted.

Forget him, he means nothing to us now. He couldn't wait to get away to a BIGGER club. Rather put my effort into supporting guys who are proud to wear the shirt. Be interesting to see what he does if he scores though.

Think we got the better end of the deal. Good record in the Championship but personally I have no lasting memories of him and always felt he would move on sooner rather than later. Incidentally, only my opinion but he hasn't moved to a bigger club.

I'd expect him to start. Players often relish playing against their former sides.

I always liked him and we got good money for him....he cupped his hands at Newcastle with Watford haven't a clue why? That's what he does.applause from me but hopefully we win.open a gap up with 3 points

Bigger Club ha ha ha.
He did OK for us, esp. in the Championship but he couldn't wait to leave.

If you are going to boo the guy, have a word with yourself.
Booing should be reserved for those of Coyle's ilk or because they played for that shower down the road. Not one of our own who did a job for us and fulfilled his contract.
Yes, I get it, he isn't of the same standing with fans as the likes of trippier, jayrod or Keane but I despair at times with stuff like this.
Never was a massive fan myself but he had his qualities and he served his club overall very well.

A combination of his girlfriend bending his ear to move to the bright lights of Watford and a greedy agent turning his head forcing a move.We are the best thing that happened to him so I will clap him.
He will realise leaving us doesn't always turn out well

Total indifference from me, I won’t boo but I won’t applaud him either. Whilst he scores a lot of goals for us I could never really take to him the way I did, say Keane.

Worst thing we could do would be to boo him.
He's just do a Nogan on us.
Besides he had a cracking season for us.
Polite applause when his name gets called. Nothing more, nothing less.

It would be disappointing if people boo him. He has moved on, so have we. I do hope he has a stinker though, if he starts.

I'll give him a clap whilst he trudges off around the 75 minute mark with us 2 nil up.
I think we will see just what sort of man Andre is tomorrow.

I never took to him, but I won't be booing him, and neither will I applaud him.
Total indifference from me - he came, he saw, he conquered and then fecked off.

I can't believe what I'm reading here. Bigger club? Bright lights of Watford? It's a dump and there's no way they could ever become a bigger club than Burnley. They'd have to win the league to achieve that. I think that their only honour, apart from promotions, was to be FA Cup losers, so long ago that their then chairman, Elton John, actually had a female wife at the time.

His goals played a big part in our promotion and he chipped in with a few last year when we stayed up and always put a shift in like any player in a Dyche team.
As above sure some will boo him though for whatever reason.

At times he struggles for motivation so booing him would spur him on so no booing from me.
Happy to clap him before game but just the once. Anything would make us sad gits just like the Knobbers who boo everyone who has left

He might not be able to trap a hedgehog with a polystyrene boot - but one thing is for sure, without his goals we wouldnt have gone up to the premier league.
He also netted against the bastards.
The above will mean he gets applause from me!

Come on Stevie, the reason is quite simple.
We like a pantomime villain at t'Turf on match day. If the referee does a proper job in the first 5 minutes then some will turn it on Gray.
I'm not for booing him, because he came, did his bit, honoured his contract and then left.
I'll be getting on his back though, because he doesn't play for Burnley now.

Silence from me. He helped get us up and stay up but he moved on for a bigger pay day. No qualms that’s his right and we’ve moved on.

Keane played for that shower of sh**e down the road, he was even signing autographs at Ewood for the home fans during the derby. Keane's the biggest rat of them all but fans treat him like one of our own.
