Chris Sutton
Did anybody else just see his comments about us on BT sport just now?
"They won't keep it up"
Presenter "based on what?"
CS "based on the fact they will fall away just wait and see"
Grade A Pillock.

Not bothered about denigrating comments by pundits, but when he's commenting on us he always sounds (and looks) like a frustrated ex Barsteward.

He has the strained look of curling one out.. Apologies if your eating breakfast.
Re: Chris Sutton
So long as we keep it up to 40 points I don't really care.
We may not keep it up over the next two months to Feb 3rd given who we play here and away- Spurs, Lpool, Man Ux 2 Man C x2; but after that prediction I would just love it if next Sunday we had 34points-but back to SD one game at a time.
Not heard anyone credit us yday having won well albeit against 10 men but with 4 of our first 11 players who would be expected to be on the pitch out injured-3 of those in defence and a clean sheet to book.

He might be right, we might not keep it up. But as previously said, as long as we’re past 40 points then it won’t matter.

Sutton is just one of those people that make me turn over to another channel, he is a cockwomble that offends my ears.

Sutton took the same line with Leicester City the year they won the league.

There are too many of these about. Rodney Marsh, Paul Merson, here in Ireland Eamonn Dunphy blokes who just spout sh1t to wind up the public but they keep getting invited back.FactualFrank wrote:He comes across as somebody who is purposely being annoying to be in the spotlight. That's what everyone* said in 13/14 and 15/16 when we were runners up and then winners of the Championship (including quite a fair few lily-livered folk on here
)
* except Uwe Rosler and Ian Holloway who both agreed in Jan 16 that we'd definitely go up and probably win it.

I have to turn the radio off when Sutton is on. His voice is so boring he could put a glass eye to sleep. Merson I quite like as he comes out with crap that makes me laugh.

Re: Chris Sutton
Sutton makes Sherwood look like a thoroughly nice chap
1) he has the most annoying accent in the world
2) he used to play for bast-ards
3) massive chip on his shoulder
4) tries to get more media work purely by being controversial
5) thick as pig sh-ite
6) he used to play for bast-ards
7) grade A pr-ick
8)he used to play for bast-ards
Etc etc
I despise the bloke - and I hate the fact that our license fee is being used to pay this tw-at

Re: Chris Sutton
He really annoyed me a few years back over the Barnes at the Bridge incident.
If any ex player can play the moralist then it certainly isn't this diving, snarling, ex gambling addicted cheat.
I think Frank and Piston have it about right, the Suttons of this world are there to be antagonists to help push up the ratings.
The most likeable of the lot is probably Le Tissier, but if they were all as laid back as Le Tiss we'd fall asleep.

Re: Chris Sutton
The fact that Chris Sutton thinks we'll fall away means that we can expect Champions League football next season. The guy has absolutely no clue what he's talking about.
Re: Chris Sutton
He was watching the Leicester game last week on BT Sport. When Brady got injured he was demanding a red card for him - much to the derision of the other pundits. He was also incredibly derogatory about how we played. I'm not sure why they let him watch our games if he can't be impartial.

A worse managerial record than Tim Sherwood, which is saying something.
