You want to meet up with someone in Burnley who is going to the game and have them deliver the ticket to your mate who wil be at the ground in Brighton?

Just clearing it up in case there's some confusion. Is that correct?

I think he means pass it to someone who then can meet him at the ground.

I could have mis-read though

I haven't got a ticket for the game and wasn't planning on going until I changed my mind a couple of minutes ago.

I'll take it for you.

you should have called Brighton and asked them to print another ticket for you friend to pick up, pretty sure they could do that - if all else fails then try that in the morning

It won't need a truck to escort a single ticket down to Brighton.

I reckon you should have put please in the request. My mum drilled manners into me. I was a wrong un at times but always said please and thank you.
Also she said never take parcels for someone. Her cousin got arrested at Manchester Airport on 1986 as he took a parcel through for a fella he met in Milan. Had drugs in it. He got 2yrs but then he was attacked in prison and he lost the use of his left arm.

"A Brighton favour" does sound like a euphemism.

"I caught the defendant giving him a Brighton favour in the alley around the back, your honour".

I suggest whoever is handing the ticket over needs to be easily identifiable, therefore wear your best George Michael t-shirt, and stand on the street corner shouting “who is it that wants me to give them one!”

I'm actually rolling around with laughter here mate. That was my kind of humour, I've got tears.

So, to recap: you want someone with a truck who is going to Brighton to take a heavy ticket to someone who sounds as though they might be some kind of asylum seeker who will then do a 'favour' in return. The carrier must wear a George Michael t-shirt but must not go via Milan for fear of losing a limb.
Is that right?
