Yes not too many of our players front up to the media, Tom Heaton and Joey Barton being the main exceptions. Given our lofty position others must now step up to the plate.

I cant imagine why Dyche is uncomfortable with his intellectual stars expressing their views on life. He had probably put Andre in charge of social media / Twitter outputs at the beginning of last season. What could possibly go wrong?

How uncomfortable is Jack saying that he doesn't think the manager would approve - proper funny watching him squirm

Staff at the football club are not permitted to discuss the club on social media

Absolutely spot on from Dyche as usual but cork doesn't seem resentful of it just accepting.

Commented on Ibe's attire during the interview. Looked very gangsta and the way he was slouched in his chair.Tribesmen wrote:Errrrr what did Ince say ? Something like 95% of the team are British ................. 4 Irish players are not British may i add![]()

When I've taken drugs and had paranoid delusions of grandeur, they are futurist 'real' fantasies of fame stories and the tragi-comic juxtaposition of exalted states combined with an utter dross of banal media and social effluent and my life playing out to such crap.
The idea of Burnley players being put forward as 'media' stars because they happen to play in the public eye, is very disturbing, not least a youtube video of Ashley Barnes looking in the mirror at his receding hairline. It's WRONG. WRONG WRONG WRONG.
The occasional football talk OK but anything other than that is bound to fall into enemy hands. I'm still disturbed by programs of the 70's and certain Burnley players liking 'stax music.'

I don't know. Juxtapositions. The idea that there is some 'meaning' to it.

White people liking black music you mean?Pstotto wrote:I don't know. Juxtapositions. The idea that there is some 'meaning' to it.
Maybe it was the BBC and the gay mafia dripping Malcolm X quotes into Les Latcham's ear that made people like Stax.
Not that Stax released some brilliant music.
Re: Jack Cork Football Focus
Not at all. As a child I had no idea what 'Stax music' was and I've only just looked it up now on Wikipedia. I think there is a basic 'autism' about media in general and 'meaning,' an example of this and football might be Chinese folk visiting the council house in Belfast where George best was brought up, in the hope of somehow distilling his genius from that surrounding.

I was saying that maybe it was Malcolm X or whatever making people like Stax's music, not the fact Stax made great recordsCaernarfon_Claret wrote:Is this what you meant?

I apologize - I was being a pedant - which was unfair to you as I knew what you meant. I should not have picked on you for missing out the word didn't. Sorry.

White and black mixed quite naturally at Southern recording studios like Stax, American, Fame, Muscle Shoals, etc. They were ahead of the general public - just got on with it together.
