They were meant to film it in Bacup but the locals frightened them off.

It fell a bit flat tbh. But hopefully it will get going. Did look like trawden in parts though.

I was afraid it was going to be a re-harsh of old ideas and nostalgia. Instead the plots have gone in some interesting directions. I’m liking it!

Liked the nice nod to ‘Inside No 9’ at the end.

It was a nice little nod. Paulines plot was good too, I wasn’t sure what was going on at first.

This was me this Halloween, the guy in the pic above looks a bit like me. I had to white myself up a bit around my eyes and mouth to get the look, I hope I didn't upset anyones sensibilities by doing so.

I am more upset by the plethora of cuddly toys you have. Makes the pic more sinister

As a resident of Trawden I find this thread deeply offensive. Mods, please remove it asap.
We may, have a shop and we may not. If we do have a shop, it isn't for the likes of you anyway.
And for those in the area, tomorrow night is the Cock Hill Club members' draw night - It's the night where we all go up to the club to find out who has died, drink heavily, enjoy one of the finest meat raffles in the North West (the meat is kept nice and warm on the radiators all evening until the raffle), insult each other and play snooker for money against a one-armed man.
What could be more normal than that?

Being a resident of Winewall, this is my nearest club. Still haven't been in, but it's my new priority to become a member after hearing this! Love a meat raffle.
It won't give me a nosebleed though will it?

We live near Hadfield where it's filmed and I drove up one day to have a look round. There was a girl in a shell suit pushing a pram up the hill and when I got to the top to where the winged monument is, I crapped myself and sped home!

Always difficult to revive an old idea but I think they did pretty well with some good twists. The thng that made me laugh the most was Pammy on the radio.

Winewall just about qualifies, Walton. Membership runs Jan - Dec so get yourself up in the new year to get the process started. You'll need to be proposed or seconded. You can go in as a guest but be warned there is a fee of 20p to pay. You may be viewed as something of a novelty if you're under 60.
And there's a meat raffle every Friday night. It's just that the one on Members draw night is....special (as are the free stew n' hard butties).

Might have to scrabble around for the 20p, bit steep! Haha.
I am well under 60 I'm afraid but I suppose I'm used to it as I go in Foulridge club with the father in law quite often. Not many under 60s in there either.
A weekly meat raffle sounds too good to be true, as do the stew and hard butties! Bizarrely we've been discussing stew and hard a lot at home recently, and I do need to up my intake.
I'll apply for a pass out from the better half, and make a trip up before the end of the year. It'll be a good bit of exercise walking up too. That's how I'll sell it to her.

Filmed in Hadfield as the guy above says. I just wonder if Royston Vasey could be another name for Rossendale Valley.
They should have filmed at Shadsworth they wouldn't have needed paid actors then having a ready made LOCAL cast.

Royston Vasey is actually the real name Of Roy Chubby Brown.
Rossendale is a lot nicer than Roy Chubby Brown.

Yes I know it is named after this comedian. But they did look at Bacup as a potential place for filming. Scared off they went to Hadfield.
