Radiohead..

I watched the final epic episode of 'Peaky Blinders' last night, [Season 4] and in a series which has featured some brilliant music, this song stood out - played in full near the end of the programme, it reminded me of how talented and innovative Radiohead had been in their earlier days.
I bought their first six albums, then just sort of stopped listening to them.
This is 'The Pyramid Song' from the album 'Amnesiac' [2001]

That'll teach me to post a link without watching it through first.

Below a link to a live version of "Black Star" without the kn**head in the middle ruining it!

they've always been super-talented but they've been more innovative, evolved and got better as they've got older.

So many great songs.
Everything In It's Right Place is a particular favourite of mine; Kid A was such a brave album to follow OK Computer with and as a statement of intent for an opening track it was jaw dropping, as well as being great in its own right.

If ever I want cheering up, I just bung Radiohead on the gramophone and hey presto,
I feel like I'm alive.
Well, compared to them, I suppose I am.

I can go quite a long time not listening to Radiohead and not missing it but then I hear them, am reminded just how brilliant they are and will then binge on them for days as far as music is concerned. The Bends is about the best indie/rock album I know and the more recent "weirder" stuff is seriously addictive once you get into it.
I'm sure this track was used in a previous Peaky Blinders series Hampstead...You and Whose Army

A big tip for anyone who likes OK Computer as an album (and if you don't you're wrong) is to get hold of the 3 extra tracks , I Promise, Lift and Man Of War, released on this year's anniversary re-release. They are every bit as good as the stuff released on the album at the time.

I'm not a Radiohead fan. Find them awful. I'd rather listen to Daniel O'Donnell than Radiohead.

That says more about you than Radiohead. Regular visitor to Daniel's house?

Agree 10bellies
Here's another from the Bends - described in Q as "a powerful, bruised record of frighteningly good songs" which is a perfect summary.
It's hard to pick one from that album as the best but as this kicked in the first time you knew the album is going to be a great ride.
