Under rated players.

On another thread someone has accidentally named Beardsley instead of Bardsley in a line-up, this brought to mind a player I thought was an excellent midfielder. For me, he has to be one of the most under rated players of his generation. Who else could be considered under rated?

Peter Noble.
Superb professional who always gave 100% but never seemed to get the recognition he deserved.

Agree capt. he didn’t get it from everyone, but Peter Noble was the first claret I idolised.
How good was he? He’d WALK into this team we have today. IMO of course.

I don't think Peter Beardsley was underrated. He was very highly rated by fans and journos alike I recall.

It's funny watching championship football for years you forget the step up in quality the prem actually is. Now being here and watching more PL games you realise players like Bardsley, Albrighton, Etc are actually good players who when we were in the Championship were just in struggling sides.

By some people the entire current squad is underrated. In some ways I like it like that. Keeps the pressure off.
