I think Ritchie is on £80,000 a week at Newcastle...That's what was reported when he signed !

Test his resolve - let’s say £35k + Premier League + possible Europe vs £80k + ChampionshipRumpelstiltskin wrote:I think Ritchie is on £80,000 a week at Newcastle...That's what was reported when he signed !

In all fairness, Scott Arfield plays in a team where the manager allows midfield players to cross the ball!!

Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
There's no way we can sign him according to some recent articles on our club because he's a black player!!ClaretLoup wrote:A link from the BBC to the France Football site says that Palace & Everton are interested in this guy, but 'surtout' I.e. above all Burnley. The lad is a 25 year old Cameroon International who has knocked in 9 goals so far this season for Angers who are struggling at the bottom of Ligue 1.
However he knocked back an offer from Brighton this summer who offered to quadruple his wages. Contracted to 2020 he will cost a few centimes. However with Defour French speaker already in the squad we might stand a chance.
Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
I`d be surprised if he was on anything above £40k. They only paid £10m for him from Bournemouth where he would have been on not much more than £25k / £30k...if that.Rumpelstiltskin wrote:I think Ritchie is on £80,000 a week at Newcastle...That's what was reported when he signed !
Think he would be a decent signing.

Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
Of the wingers mentioned I wouldn't mind Redmond, Grosicki or Sinclair. However, I don't think Grosicki will ever happen, Redmond is probably out of our league and it depends whether Sinclair wants another crack at the Prem but his form with Swansea was excellent and he would add pace and guile.

Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
Scott Sinclair - not good enough for the Prem in recent times, will he have improved up in Scotland? Doubtful but if cheap then worth a shot. The area would suit him too due to his missus being from turdtown. Not sure his work rate suits us either.
Reid - Bristol City, linked in summer if I recall correctly? Can play wide, behind striker or up top. Had a decent season so far.
McClean - you’ve got to be joking! Complete sh1thouse of a person and isn’t exactly a great player either
Redmond - Perhaps isn’t being utilised as well as he could at Saints, I’d imagine he’d be on hefty wages but I d love to see him at Burnley and see what Dyche can get out of him, likewise with Ward-Prowse. Ward-Prowse has more goals in him given the correct freedom that’s for sure, brilliant dead ball player too. Being English makes these two expensive from bid 1.
Andone , De Preville and Waris - perhaps another one of these names will tear its head again of the price is right. Personally I’d have Andone out of the three.

Seriously overrated
Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
Jordan Jones (Kilmarnock) is being mentioned in the media. Sounds an interesting and realistic prospect.

I don't think I've heard anyone praise Ward-Prowse outside of his set-pieces.

I’d be looking at Swansea to be honest. Their players will be desperate to jump from a sinking ship. Nathan Dyer?

Championship level until they train under Dyche , reach really impressed me at deepdale and could be a decent shout , not one we will go for though otherwise he would be here already
Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
McCleans work rate always seems decent to me. He hasn’t created much for West Brom, a team Messi would struggle to create in.
He’s not perfect but I see something in him. He has skills, passion, and more importantly a work rate which fits our system. Dyche has made silk purses out of pigs ears before

Weiser is a right full back
Freeman is just awful
Sisto looked a prospect against United in Europe a few years ago, has been sh**e everytime I have seen him play for Celta. He only got 3 goals last season and couldn't even get in the team most of the time.

Wass plays right midfield, reminds me of Albrighton. Sisto has been lively when I've seen him but a bit inconsistent. Not sure he's a Dyche type player

Still only 23 and inflation in those 3 years has been massive.
Looked good at Hull.
Cheeky bid with add ons in accordance with performance?
