Had my tea out ruined, soggy chips and a vinegar infused steak and all thanks to those ******* bottles with the ponsy lids that for some reason pubs/restaurants seem to think make them look like a fine dining establishment. You either get no vinegar or a deluge after you attempt the lid open a bit/slight angle ratio. Why the f were they ever invented ?

possibly so we can share your Mr Bean moments with us, quite funny that, even though your meal was spoit.
Must admit there are quite a few things which have had me baffled in restaurants from time to time.

...It depends if you messed up or not or if it had a faulty lid on it. If it were broken then you were entitled to ask for a new meal, but if you didn't sort out what it was before then it's an unhappy accident. I've done similar with salt and pepper.

So many over priced restaurant meals could be considerably improved with brown sauce, I love it personally. Just seems a bit wrong asking for it in some establishments.

Whilst we're on the food subject - places that serve chips in little buckets or cages etc ...
JUST PUT THEM ON MY PLATE NEXT TO THE REST OF MY FOOD - AND GIVE ME MORE THAN 5 OF THEM!!

Ketchup sachets. Uttter shite, impossible to open and when you do there's barely enough for one chip. Stick a squeazy bottle on the table and spare us the charade.

you turn them round and around searching for the invisible seam which is supposed to allow you to tear it open, but it tends to rip suddenly and cover your hands in the stuff.

Usually also served not on a plate but some off-cut of floorboard or broken roof slate. When/why did that nonsense start? I blame that prick Jamie Oliver!

Was at a chippy in Blackpool on the front and had to ask for ketchup - they said people kept nicking bottles of ketchup and mayo off the tables and it was costing them a fortune so they had to have it behind the counter.
There was me thinking someone giving me some rock from there as a kid was a bit mehhh.

I went to a place in Manchester earlier in the year and they thought it clever to expect the customer to cook their own meat on hot stones. Lazy bsterds it's like getting a plumber out and he watches you change a ball cock and charges you a premium.

I was in a cocktail bar other week in Liverpool that gave me a milk-bottle and a straw to drink this concoction out of....... Why!
Also when you get a cocktail and they use up valuable rum space with 73 gallons of crushed ice.

There was a place in Rawtenstall that did this and all the sheeple of Burnley were raving about it - it cost about £30 to drive 20 mins go and cook a steak on a stone ....... Words fail me.
When posh chefs do "deconstructed food" too !!
A cheesecake is a thing of glory - If I wanted some cream and a digestive biscuit infused with some sweet tasting s*it - I'd of ordered that.

Chips with skins on are another that get me. Wedges they call them, just lazy people who are either to tight to buy frozen chips or to bone idol to peel and cut them or put them through a chopper.

Who in their right mind will put mayo on chips ? - with the obvious exception of Steven Defour, being Belgium and all that
Even ketchup is pushing it a bit - vinegar, salt and WHITE pepper is all that is needed. Oh, and none of these frozen thrice cooked efforts either
