Attacking midfielder for Las Palmas, can also play on the left.

He doesn't seem an 18m quid player from his club history.
But remember Benitez said they can't compete with Burnley financially.

Excellent player last year for Las Palmas, they've been rank bad this year though. I'm surprised Roque Mesa hasn't slotted straight into Swansea's team, another from that good LP team.

I always wonder about articles linking us to players when they start throwing in multiple clubs

I liked the look of Halilovic who is on loan at Las Palmas from Hamburg. Attacking midfielder formerly of Barcelona.

The work of their agents, CT?

Quite often the case, an agent pushing to get a move for a player.

Being linked with current Spanish internationals, whether true or not, shows how we are doing.

Does anyone outside the club's management and directors really have any info as to who we may be looking at?

Looking at his history, whenever he's left the Canary Islands he seems to have flopped? Wouldn't like it in sunny Lancashire one would assume.

There will be but the club keep things as close to their chest as they possibly can. There are very few people now privy to potential transfer business.

Mate in Germany texted me abut this fella at Hamburg SV. Jann - Fiete Arp. Only 17, youngest scorer in the Bundesliga. Ze Germans reckon he's gonna be a bit special. They don't normally get this sort of thing wrong.

More likely we would be signing a top Championship or lesser prem player, as we have continuous tabs on them.

Don’t know much about this player, but I think we have a rare opportunity this season to improve the quality of the squad.
Normally, many/most of the clubs in the division might appear more attractive options, particularly to overseas players. This season, we can at least guarantee a season and a half of prem football, whilst none of the clubs in the bottom half - like Newcastle - can do that.

You get the impression that they sit around the sports desk and shout out names:
- "What about that lad Viera?
- What do you reckon?
- Higher-mid table team at best?
- yeah probably
(glance at current table)

Highly rated young guy at City - Oleksandr Zinchenko
Midfielder who also played at LB for City in some of the cup games
No chance of signing permanently but would be a very useful loan to cover for Brady

Do you think the Chief Football Correspondent at the Daily Telegraph does that, seriously?

Seems this rumour has been in Marca, but in any event Jason Burt is one of the more credible journalists when it comes to rumours.
Viera is currently live on Sky as Las Palmas play Eibar. Las Palmas are leading 1-0 thanks to a penalty from Viera, who has looked tidy, neat and creative. Appears to have a fairly free role for Las Palmas, primarily playing in the centre of the park. He doesn't look lightweight exactly, although I'm not sure if he is really robust enough for English football.
However, the player I've been taken by in this game is Takashi Inui, who is a hard working, Japanese left winger-cum-attacking midfielder who has been impressive for Eibar. Interestingly, it looks as though his contract is up in the summer. Has played in the Bundesliga previously and looks like a player who might have the tools to play in England.

Perhaps Sean can bring him back after the match?

Signed him on FM16 on my Fiorentina dynasty ... his lack of work rate was my only concern
