There's enough big girls in the game as it is!

What's up with our womens team, are they professional or amateur? barely hear anything about them but I'm sure they were amateur 6 or 7 years ago (maybe something has changed)

The impression i get is they are trying to grow it organically and see where it gets up to.KRBFC wrote:What's up with our womens team, are they professional or amateur? barely hear anything about them but I'm sure they were amateur 6 or 7 years ago (maybe something has changed)
Ideally i'd like to see women's teams playing at the team's home ground on alternate weekends, in much the same way the old B Teams used to do.
The way our pitch is now, i don't see an issue, although it would probably see just the Bob Lord being opened

Where do the women play their home games now?ZizkovClaret wrote:The impression i get is they are trying to grow it organically and see where it gets up to.

With United you would imagine it would largely self-finance via merch. They could even play at Salford City's ground initially while it built up momentum.
It just feels like a missing piece of the jigsaw. Maybe i'm coming at it from a different place as the two "Big" teams here have Men and Women's Football, Hockey and Basketball teams all under the same broad umbrella.

Honestly, not a scooby. Living in a different country has meant i've not tried to attend any Burnley Ladies games.KRBFC wrote:Where do the women play their home games now?

I don't think that womens' football will ever catch-on. It's so unnatural. Fine for young girls to play the game but adult women - no chance.

Football and Women's football are completely different sports IMO.
