Lennon was reputably on 55k a week at Everton so it could be
that we've had to pay him the same.
Be interesting to find out.

Talksport were discussing earlier the astronomical wages in football, even for players who would not be considered as big names. Gave examples from a number of clubs and stated that Wood was on £50k per week. Also mentioned Gray being on £70k per week at Watford.

Where do they get the numbers from? Are they accurate? Does the agent inform the press? Or are they just guessing?

Not sure, but they were reading out the figures as if from
a factual document.

I've heard before that Wood was our highest paid player at£50k per week.

For wood I have seen it reported before between 30-50K which is rather large range...I thought we had a good top up bonus instead of paying anywhere near 50k wages..

I honestly don’t know why we would need to pay Wood £50k/week... were there that many other clubs interested? I thought he was “only” on about £8k/ week at Leeds

The whole mentality of the club has changed and with it the potential for derailment.

Really, on what do you base this?
Knowing of course that we are one of the best run clubs in the country, do you think these contracts are handed out on a whim with the first figure that comes to mind?

I would have been amazed to see even a slightly positive post from you on our club going forward in the way it is. How's Renny Smith doing?
