I don’t know how many posters on here know her, but my best friend and lifelong Burnley fan Debbie Bowes passed away yesterday. We travelled the country together watching Burnley in those dark years of the 3rd and 4th division.

So sorry Reb. I know how you must be feeling. I have recently lost two friends and have grave concerns about another. It's old advice but 'Remember the good times' is very sound.

Such sad news.
Will never forget seeing her cruising in a convertible down the front at Scarborough when it felt like half of Burnley had gone to the match there.
Let's hope she's reunited with dear Kenny Mac and having a party in heaven.
RIP Debbie

Incredibly sad, especially since her partner Kenny passed away last year. I didn't know Debbie but Kenny Mac was one of the absolute best.
RIP

Bloody hell remember her from the 80s. And didn't she defend a well-known Blackburn lad after the ambush at Darwen Station after the Bolton game?
That apart another Claret gone to soon.
RIP Debbie.

Daughter of Roland who used to own Burnley Tyre and Battery. Remember her from away games in the 80s. Sad news. RIP.

Debbie was 51, went to Walshaw and lived in Crawshaw Booth as a teenager. She worked with her parents who owned Burnley Tyre and Battery on Colne road. In later years she lived in Fence with Kenny McIllvenney who passed away in May last year.

Oh no. Bless her. A lovely girl who used to hang out with us. I’m sure she’d liked to be remembered as a top ‘dresser’, who travelled with the boys in the 80’s. RIP Deb. From a Clitheroe Claret. Give Humph and Gaz B my regards. X

Very sad to hear this if it is the girl from Rosehill area. Used to tease my brother about having a bit of a crush on her.
Did I see her in a programme as a kid as a match ball (or match day sponsor)? 80s. Can't honestly remember when.
Very sad indeed.

Sorry to hear this news Debbie was in the next bed to my mum at Blackburn Hospital over Christmas and got to know her lovely family, she looked very poorly but still had a lovely smile and was much loved by her family, unfortunately my mum also passed away last Friday...my thoughts are with her family and friends xx
