Still hoping to get a nice surprise before Wednesday night...

Really? For a midfielder his goals to games ratio is quite good, although at Austrian league level.billyhamilton82 wrote:Christoph Knasmullner linked

To coin a Cutsy phrase.
Monday will be the day it'll all become clearer.
Why swap one striker that’s always injured for another that’s always injuredIm_not_Robbie_Blake wrote:Sturridge? (okay, it's only a dream)
Wood played the last two seasons without missing games with injury - hardly can be compared with SturridgeBigvince wrote:Why swap one striker that’s always injured for another that’s always injured
No hopes needed pal, just reality of the situation.Reecey1987 wrote:Dont get your hopes up
signing sturridge would be a dream - unfortunately a nightmareIm_not_Robbie_Blake wrote:Sturridge? (okay, it's only a dream)
NKoudou, Lennon and a new contract for the manager and his team - whatever happens on Wednesday, this has been a superb window.Reecey1987 wrote:Dont get your hopes up
I cant argue with that .ClaretTony wrote:NKoudou, Lennon and a new contract for the manager and his team - whatever happens on Wednesday, this has been a superb window.
Why? They've turned down more than that haven't they?Mala591 wrote:We should offer Celtic £15 million for Dembele.
It seems that, so far, Brighton have made the only offer of £12 million.ClaretTony wrote:Why? They've turned down more than that haven't they?
Don't disagree with that at all - we will need to do that if we want to be established in this leagueMala591 wrote:we might need to move on to 'better quality' players in the £15 -25 million price range if we want to establish ourselves as a top 10 PL club.
I`m sure this is the approach the club is going to follow.ClaretTony wrote:Don't disagree with that at all - we will need to do that if we want to be established in this league
We usually do that late on deadline day when we are all expecting something.jedi_master wrote:The club havent said we are done which leads me to think we are working on something.
I'd definitely move out Wells and Vokes to make room for another striker, we currently have 5 strikers for 1 position, we're top heavy and lacking real quality still in that area.jedi_master wrote:The club havent said we are done which leads me to think we are working on something.
As KRBFC has just said though - what about getting rid of some? We definitely have a few that might be fancying a move due to getting splinters in their arse and might bring us good money in (Westwood, for example, has barely played this season and cost us £5m and no doubt on a fairly big salary, even Vokes might be getting to the point where he is considering his future). Arfield hasn’t yet signed a new deal and was being linked with a move, and that was BEFORE we brought in Lennon and N’Koudou.
There may be a shock departure.....
Two hats? Were signing somebody from that lot down the road?Claret&Green wrote:SD always pulls something out of the hat, I reckon we'll get two by wed
So you think we will get somebody else ?MACCA wrote:No hopes needed pal, just reality of the situation.
Who was the other potential out going ? Walters before he got injuredMACCA wrote:If I was a betting man is say they'll be at least 1 arrival.
Maybe even 2.
I heard potentially 2 going out, that will probably only be 1 now, and I think it'll be Ulvestad.
I put forward Moore on another thread.warksclaret wrote:With Reading on their knees a bid for Liam Moore would be worthwhile-both for cover and competition. He signed a new deal around the time of the play-offs but must be disillusioned right now, having been in the lower leagues since his first team place with the Foxes. Reading dropping into the relegation zone too
We have enough strikers who dont know where the net is.CharlieinNewMexico wrote:If Newcastle can get that deal done for the Scandinavian lad I'd love us to sneak in and pip Brighton for Mitrovic. Wants away, completely a Dyche type of striker, only 23, £10-£15mill, possible Scotty Arf interest from Newcastle.
Benitez says not selling to a rival but are we a rival anymore?
I don't think you can recall these half-season loans.jrgbfc wrote:I think Walters would have been moved on this month if it wasn't for his injury. Not sure why Ulvestad is still at the club to be honest. Maybe a loan move for Marney with the option of a recall? Would love us to push the boat out for a really good striker, we certainly don't need another workhorse like Mitrovic.
