Forest are desperate to sell.
All that's needed is to structure the deal properly.

I have a feeling this deal will eventually get done, albeit maybe not until the summer. That said, the story about us looking to bring in Holding from Arsenal could have been a smokescreen designed to put pressure on Forest to make a decision.

About £4k per week. Good rhetoric from the lad but he will have agents in his ear. The same agents that we loathe when the boot is on the other foot.

Forest were big during the Clough era. I quite like Forest so I don't have any issue with them living in the past it's comfortable to do so when the futures bleak.

I wonder if this is why Tom Anderson was recalled? Offer him on loan as part of the deal so they aren't left short with no time to find a replacement?

Why would they want a League Two standard central defender on loan in exchange for Worrall?

He's league one standard and still young. And they would have no time to find a replacement for Worrall so any player in that position is better than none.

The worrying thing is we could have recalled Tom Anderson as our own cover fearing we won't get a deal done elsewhere.

Tyrone Marshall of LET saying we havent made a £10m bid. When pushed, he says he's not aware of any bid. Nixon reckons Dyche prezza was a smokescreen. Where's your money?

Vegas, I think you're referring to about three years of their history between 1977-1980. Other than that, Forest cannot claim to be a bigger club than Burnley.

Pre Clough they won the FA cup twice - 1890s and late 1950s.
As for The league they've only won it once

Bids of £4M and £6M with add ons rejected, they want more upfront, if it gets near £10M we have a chance.

I'm all for us not paying the full asking price but IF 4 and 6 million are our bids for the England U20 Captain in today's market then it's a strange strategy

I'm usually against us paying silly money for relatively unproven players but this lad is quality. I went to watch Forest over New Year and he was the best player on the pitch. I walked off saying I'd love him at the Turf because of what Dyche could do with him. I genuinely think he could turn him into the next Keane / Tarky.

If we are serious about landing this lad I'm sure we will get him. Another player we should be after from notts Forrest is Ben Brereton.

Think it's more a case of Anderson being 4th CB. We won't be signing anyone else before Wednesday.

Tobias Figuieredo set to join Forest. Opens up the path for Worrall to come to Burnley, providing we get the finance right.

I think Anderson will be off even if we don’t sign another centre half. We’ve gone with 3 so far this season. Would be happy if Worrall came in though.

Quite possible - our next best CB would probably be Jimmy Dunne, who is currently on loan with them and highly thought of.

We’ve been down to 2 for a few games this season and we haven’t felt the need for a recall. I guess we don’t have to wait long to find out.

We were, but one was a short term injury for Ben Mee and the other an unexpected suspension which can always happen. Both times we knew that the absence of Mee and then Tarkowski wouldn't be too long. Maybe this time the absence is going to be longer. Having said that, Dyche said yesterday that it was the only position he felt we were short in and ideally we would have four central defenders.

We all know Dyche thinks Taylor is capable of filling in at CB and with Ward on his way back and already having two fit FB's as well as other player who could fill in as a FB/WB (depending on if we change system) then I suppose he may feel we still have cover.
If we can get the right person in then great, but there is no point in getting in someone who could well be surplus to requirements again in another 4 or 5 weeks.
