He’s been out for some time. It’s a back injury.

Lost 3-0 having missed a pen at 0-0

Next up is Premier League Cup at Colchester this Friday. I’ll be there to provide goal updates for that one.

Putting him back in when he's fit is getting a tougher decision each game. It'll be good to have him back though, whether he gets straight in or not.

Might be time for a runout for Tom Heaton if I have done my maths wright this Friday he must be nearly ready to start playing again at this level nice and slow no pressure everybody says it's about development for individuals and not results utc

He was in the sky studio on Saturday, I only caught it as i got back in from the game, but I'm sure he said about 6 weeks before he will be ready to play.

i know, sorry, just having a dig at the official twitter account who have inexplicably taken to reporting scores of away games the wrong way round. they were reporting it as 0-3 during the game then changed it to 3-0 at the end.

if you'd started following the game after the goal was scored at palace you'd have thought we were winning until the game finished.

Well beaten in the end, although we should have been in front at half time. Missed penalty, hit post and had a shot cleared off the line. Ward played 70 minutes, looked good.

I still cannot get used to this. So many times my joy/anger (delete as appropriate) has been short-lived
