Just looking at managerial sackings these last 24 hrs and was wondering how many managers have retained their jobs after relegation from the premier and managed to get their team back up again?

Good question.

Apart from the obvious SD, Benitez went down with Newcastle and immediately brought them back up.

Bruce with Hull yes, Warnock and Allardyce no. Curbishley at Charlton, Bryan Robson at Middlesbrough and Peter Reid at Sunderland sprang to mind

I think so - didn't he take them back up via the playoffs?

I think Joe Royle was another who took a team back up via the playoffs.

more important question is who got relegated then came back up as Champions whilst being undefeated for 23 games in one of the most competitive leagues in world football ? Nobody will ever do it better than we did

I should also add "with our budget"

Not from the PL.

They got promoted the year before Burnley did with Coyle and they've stayed up ever since.

Did Mowbray do it with WBA. Or perhaps Megson. Maybe neither. I've just realised, I don't really care
