Re: Endeavour
Yes they're a bit over complicated at times - well they are for me - but the characters and period detail are excellent

Yes,John Simm (a Nelson lad) plays the grieving father, who is insistent on blaming the surgeon for his sons death and not the murderer.. Quite good,it will be interesting to see how it pans out now he's got a job at the hospital..FactualFrank wrote:Not seen this, but recorded 'Trauma' yesterday. Did anybody watch?

Ok, I guess I should have asked not to reveal what happens, but might still give it a watch.conyoviejo wrote:Yes,John Simm (a Nelson lad) plays the grieving father, who is insistent on blaming the surgeon for his sons death and not the murderer.. Re: Endeavour
I found Morse slow, tedious, and, at times, up it's own ar se but both the spin-offs, Lewis and Endeavour are pretty good.
Hopefully we'll have a series called "Hathaway" at some point.
I didn't watch "Trauma". Was it any good? The thing clashed with something decent with Carey Mulligan on the other side, and as that didn't have a trailer that looked like it was going to turn into a medical negligence file, I went for that one. It also has Billie Piper playing what (from the first episode) appears to be a waste-of-space self-centred sponger who I'd rather had been the one that got shot.

Re: Endeavour
It is old school policing with brains. Life was a bit slower then. A decent watch. At least he got to bed a young woman!

'Trauma' was quite good last night.
Well acted and one of those that keeps you watching, be interesting how it pans out.
