Bit early I know, but as we can't go down (according to Rodley dave), where do we need to strengthen in our third Premier League season in succession?
Yes, THIRD PREMIER LEAGUE SEASON IN SUCCESSION!
Enjoy it!

Another centre half
Attacking midfielder
Number 10

Bigger scouting network a must..
Maybe another attacking minded coach, not like our back 4 struggles

I wouldn't disagree with that, and you're also right about the cost, but we'll surely never be in a better position to afford and attract those players we need.

I think most would agree with that but it will depend on how ambitious SD and the board are.

Ideally..
A better right back than Bardsley.
A centre back so we have 4.
A better wide midfielder than Arfield, to go with Lennon, JBG and Brady to make 2 players fighting for each place.
A quick, tricky forward to partner Wood, if we play 2 up top.
A better player than Vokes.
A 'in the hole' attacking midfielder who can play if we play just 1 up front.
That's 6 players. Which I know won't happen, but I hope that's the sort of target we'll aim for during the summer, if the prices are right.

A goal machine striker would cost around £80 million plus £200,000 a week wages

unless you find a bargain...
Okay, they're about as common as rocking horse droppings, but we can dream!

I think we do need to strengthen, but I think the pace we have been operating at for the last few years is about right.
I don't think for one minute we will bring in four first team starters, and I don't think id want us to tbh.
I suppose it all depends on what style of football we will be looking to play.
One, possibly two with one being either an ACM/No10 and a striker of some note.

I'm banking on striking the proverbial pot of gold goal machine, bought for sub 20m and goes on to have the season of his life. Its rare, but it does happen.

Andre Gray for example, £20 million

Yes, and he doesn't score very often at this level
We've unearthed gems in the past, who's to say we can't do it again?

Jamie Vardy £1m, who could predict how he'd turn out
Rare, yes, a long shot, but imagine if we unearthed a gem like that.

Thread’s been going for just over an hour and already the ex player obsession has begun...
Need a centre half half, an attacking mid, a winger since Nkoudou and possibly Arfield won’t be here and maybe a striker depending on sales.

Personnel doesn't matter, we could have Ronaldo upfront if we refuse to get bodies around him and provide him with decent service because we'd rather defend deep and in numbers then he will struggle. Mentality and intent has to change for us to ever become better going forward. It's like on Football Manager when you set up ultra defensive and 9 of the 10 outfield players on ''stay back while attacking''

Which is of course how you analyse your football anyhow... like you're playing a silly computer game.
This, however, is the real world.

But it's common sense, if you put 9 of your 10 outfield players behind the ball, you're less likely to score goals.

Nope, in "the real world" defending equals goals.

Our forward line needs sorting this summer once and for all. If we have to break the bank then so be it. Hopefully we'll be able to move Walters on and if we can get 10 million for Barnes I'd take it.

How about you continue attending every game and clapping along in excitement while you're really bored out of your mind...

That's because I do attend.
You obviously don't, if your comments are anything to go by.

And I never said that you'd said I didn't.
I did, however, suggest that your immature and frankly insane comments were because you don't actually go.
Perhaps you were at an EDL rally instead?

Why would I be at an EDL rally? Do the EDL even still exist....

I think anyone who's aware of your back catalogue on here will know why you'd more likely be there.

We only need 4 players, that would allow 4 to leave also. Anymore leave than the 4, and it's just like for like in those positions.

Exactly the same as we needed at the start of this season:
Young improving centre back
Young improving midfielder
Young "No 10" if that's what we are going to call it.
Shouldn't cost too much either

25 man squad something like:
Heaton, Pope, Lindergaard
Lowton, Bardsley, Mee, Tarkowski, Long, another CB, Ward, Taylor
Cork, Defour, Westwood, Hendrick, a no. 10, O'Neill
Lennon, Gudmundsson, Brady, another winger
Wood, Barnes, Vokes, a pacey striker
Out: Arfield, Marney, Walters and Wells.
In: first team number 10, first team pacey striker, young back up centre back and a winger (maybe a loan) that can step in from the bench.
That's four players, surely achievable.
