accidentally stumbled across ant and dec big takeaway or whatever its called, I know there are alternate channels and an off switch, but it was jaw droppingly bad. that mulhern thing, and that vaccuous blimp scarlett moffat were guests....the audience are akin to some sub species in my opinion.
They are technically human, but i cannot identify them as similar. They are a tribe I would wage war with. They dont appear to have brains that perceive excrement like rational folk.
It was the kind of show that made me do a double take at the screen , and look in bewilderment at nothing in particular. a souless, putrid , effluent flood, right into my front room.

The only people worse than these people are the simpletons who watch it every week.
That and anything with the word celebrity or reality. The only blessing is realising how sane and normal you are by not watching it.
The worlds gone mad. I dont know how anyone can watch tv. Says the bloke who posts on here

Just read this thread...can I join your club ? Magnificent rants about the cretinous slop that seems to constitute mainstream TV. Who the hell watches this stuff ? Depressing BUT fortunately there is more decent TV drama across the various channels and online platforms than ever before.

Most of he people I know are slaves to the big rectangular slab in the corner of the room, and I include myself in that. Only because I dont have the energy to fight it when I have got in from a hard slog at work and I want to relax for the last hour before going to bed for some much earned rest from this horrid existence.
Some of the shows I like lately are The Orville - pi55take of Star Trek by Seth McFarlane and I watched the new X-Files last night, which coincidentally was a pi55take of modern society highlighting that there's no need for conspiracy theories any more because you can hide the truth in plain sight because of the amount of fake news these days. I also like Jeremy Kyle, if only to remind me that things aren't too bad...
But things like X-Factor; Falling on Ice; Take me Out - if you insist, I'll do it with a sniper rifle; I'm not a Celebrity, in fact anything with Ant 'n Dec; anything described as "reality TV"; this list is almost endless... I really dont understand anyone who would subject their brain matter to digesting such atrocities into their consciousness..!
Do I qualify for a membership...? please...?

So am I. Friday night especially, but last week's Whistle Test programme has got to be the biggest disappointment of all time. I was expecting extensive archive footage and the odd live performance but what did we get. 3 hours of back slapping "Weren't we great" interviews and Peter effing Frampton.

I might sound daft but turning the tele on has the adverse affect. Literally only goes on for attenborough or wild alaska now. Even football i can only watch with the sound down now.

These species are easily recognised and avoidable.
From the front they will have what looks like their little brothers "jeans" on, often with tears all'ower place. Sometimes 2" above the ankle ( we used to call them cat dies back int day ) and sometimes even no socks, yes NO socks!
From the back is a little harder, however look for what looks like a girl with an strange looking walk. This person is not actually a girl, but has decided to have their hair in a scrunched type style & put a bobble in their hair at the top, or behind.
This is called a "top knot", I call it a Zlatan, so you should all know roughly the severity of this style.
Another tell tale sign is them appearing through a plume of smoke, that looks like a scene off stars in their eyes. This plume will smell like anything ranging from cola cubes to dandelion and Burdock.
If you spot any of the above, run, run for your lives. These people are not to be approached.
If you already been in contact with these sorts, after they have hypnotized you with the over use of the words "like", "totes" and "guys", then make your way to your eldest available relative and get them to make you a cuppa, and talk to them for between 1 and 2 hours. Once you feel normal again, you should be cured.
Too much contact with the aforementioned people will turn you into one without you knowing, so be warned, and be prepared.

it's all about the bbc's 'inclusivity' agenda ie more girlie tv, more tv for those who stay home all day watching tv, pander to the lgbt movement etc etc. i'm not saying the idea behind this move to appeal to 'minorities' is wrong but for me the entertainment value on tv has dropped considerably. the bbc in particular keeps bringing back series after series of shoite like 'strictly', dancin on ice, cooking progs like masterchef, talent shows and suchlike [bbc favourites]. mind you, it aint just auntie beeb pandering to the masses, of course, the commercial channels are just as bad. what to do? change channels, get on to netflix, switch the tv off, get on claretsmad, walk the dog [get a dog if you already haven't].

Provide a list of the BBC programmes you dislike.
You've already listed one programme not made by the BBC as a reason you don't like the BBC, so I'd like to see what else you think they show.

you really are a thick inbred, aren't you. the thread is about 'really bad TV'. It's open to anyone to comment on it about.... really bad TV... like I did. other posts have moved it on from the original post about ant and dec [i don't even know which channel they are on as i have never watched them]. and other posters have previously mentioned other tv channels and programmes. what is it you are struggling with here? just post something appropriate to the thread; give your opinion about really bad tv [if you even have any]. don't simply have a pop at someone else's post you little keyboard warrior you.

One programme I dislike on the BBC is Question Time, where a collection of predominantly right wing gobshites on a panel is asked awful questions by predominantly right wing gobshites in the audience.

Any program containing the words cooking, bake, celebrity, strictly, talent.
The one show sofa so called celebrities going on and on about the next show/program there in.

The concept is or was interesting. But its way past its sell by date given its purely about agendas and self interest. Its about as far from reality as reality tv can get now.
