Looking at the news and out of my office window I'd say fan safety has the potential to be an issue, even for those living locally.Goobs wrote:Why??
Being in and around town about town about 15 minutes ago (admittedly not down Harry Potts way) there didn't seem to be any issues as far as I could see. Trainers with a decent grip and not even come close to slipping. If it gets bad then fair enough, but just don't see the need to call it yet myself.Sidney1st wrote:Looking at the news and out of my office window I'd say fan safety has the potential to be an issue, even for those living locally.
Everything is clear. I’m amazed just how how clear it is, and with another 24 hours to go I’d be absolutely amazed if it doesn’t go ahead.Sidney1st wrote:Looking at the news and out of my office window I'd say fan safety has the potential to be an issue, even for those living locally.
The army was deployed to help rescue motorists, some stuck for more than 12 hours, as winds speeds reached 90mph on the Rakewood Viaduct near Rochdale.
Traffic a bit slow going to CrossFlatts today but certainly manageable.KeighleyClaret wrote:Looking increasingly difficult for Yorkshire based Clarets tomorrow.
But they don’t matter, unfortunately. The teams can get there, the officials too, the game will go ahead.Silkyskills1 wrote:Not everyone walks to the match.
Might set up a happyclaret vetting system if you'd all like to email meMACCA wrote:Can bfccrazy not tell us the line up, then we can decide weather or not to bother... pun intended
He used to do it every week, has he been told off by the powers that be?
Drove back from Media City to Burnley yesterday when weather was still shocking - ended up coming through Bury/Rochdale/Bacup and it was just the stretch at Bacup which was bad.Sidney1st wrote:I don't live locally, but looking at reports of people being stuck in cars on Motorways between Manchester and Burnley ....
They do. What you gonna do. Park your car under your seat?Silkyskills1 wrote:Not everyone walks to the match.
Don't be silly, there's room for a couple at the outside bar in the CFS thoughDyched wrote:They do. What you gonna do. Park your car under your seat?
They don't some are in Wheelchairs.Dyched wrote:They do. What you gonna do. Park your car under your seat?
Absolutely right. Begs the question then why efforts are made to clear the surrounding areas of the ground if 'they don't matter'.CardyTheClaret wrote:But they don’t matter, unfortunately. The teams can get there, the officials too, the game will go ahead.
So it's not in fact down to injuries, tough run of games, fine margins or the FA/Refs against us, it's because you stopped posting the line up Friday.bfccrazy wrote:Might set up a happyclaret vetting system if you'd all like to email me![]()

More from inside the club not wanting it leaked so I stopped - weirdly ... we were flying when I was doing it but people started putting it all over twitter and tagging big accounts so as all good things do, it had to come to an end.
Why is that.Live in Bradford don't see any problem at all.KeighleyClaret wrote:Looking increasingly difficult for Yorkshire based Clarets tomorrow.
I was told to stop doing it by the person I got info off - but weirdly the results have been suspect sinceMACCA wrote:So it's not in fact down to injuries, tough run of games, fine margins or the FA/Refs against us, it's because you stopped posting the line up Friday.
That's fair enough.bfccrazy wrote:I was told to stop doing it by the person I got info off - but weirdly the results have been suspect sincejust shows that posting them wouldn't affect the results as we were doing better back then.
But I'm not going to post when asked not to.
