I can remember going down to the Town Mouse to watch the stripper in 1990/91 whilst still at school.
I was at Ivy Bank at the time and left in 1991.
One night I remember being there and gettting involved in the act and one of my teachers was there in the crowd watching the act.
Obviously he couldn’t say anything about it at the time either in the pub or at school.
Loved it growing up in the 1990’s

Around twenty years ago we had a visitor over from Malta...Lets say he had let a sheltered life...We decided that we would take him to The Town Mouse on a Thursday night to see the show...When the Stripper made her appearance our friend assumed that she was a singer...When she started her act he got pretty excited...And he too got involved onstage with the shaving foam...We had a great night...Laughed so much and needless to say our friend just had to be at the Town Mouse the following Thursday...
So the place was packed out and the Stripper was late...The crowd becane impatient and restless...She didnt show up...People started leaving...Someone put a brick through the window !!!
I think that was the final curtain for Strippers at the Town Mouse...but our friend from Malta is still a regular visitor to this part of the world...He always catches a match on the Turf...And he really does still ask if there is a Stripper on at the Town Mouse !!!
