Extremely negative approach from Everton in the second half. They asked for it and we duly obliged.

I really don't understand why the F.A. Didn't charge him with bringing the game into disrepute after what he did whilst in charge of England. He should have been banned from managing for a lengthy period. Do the F.A. make their own rules as they go along? I just don't understand that one.

Amongst the many gems:
Quick get Schneiderlin on and hold on to the defeat
"Burnley never come from behind to win"
Everton: "Hold my drink..."
Burnley will be absolutely laughing their tits off over Keane. They got £25-30m for him and they're far better off for it.

Probably because he did, nor said anything illegal.

Arrogant beyond belief some of the comments directed towards Burnley. I hope they go down after reading that.

He's saved them from relegation, and they want ECL football in the same season?
Who TF do they think they are?

Nonsense. He didn’t actually do anything wrong. Don’t particularly like the guy, but he was a victim of mob-media.

To be fair, he did one thing wrong. That was taking the England job in the first place.
By doing that you generally give yourself a shlt life until you get hounded out.

If you check out some of the bile about Keane on the Everton forums this evening you'd believe that, if those fans were in charge of the club, they'd give him back to us today for nothing!

That sounds like a plan....he could well be back. He'd slot straight back in.

If they carry on like this they are not safe from relegation, bizarre that they lost away to a higher placed team and their fans want the manager out.
Thanks for the 6 points this season.

A fair assessment and concludes by saying Burnley deserved it. Fair enough.

How many of us would put Keane ahead of Tarks if he was to come back? I know I wouldn't. He'd be on the bench.

Not to long ago a lot of posters on here would have him replace Mee.
Now imagine that now.

I posted earlier today but Mee does the ugly stuff and goes unnoticed. I notice it, and he's our best centre back.

"I have little excitement about going, but despite our predicament, in my opinion we are, and always will be better than Burnley FC. No offence, but it’s Burnley v Everton! We should go there and run riot. I know we won’t, but as a fan, expectations rarely meet reality!
Everton to win 2 0."
Optimism over the truth = "we are " No you aren't and "always will be" no you won't
This "we are a big club therefore we have a divine right" mentality is laughable and seems to infect a lot of fans views of "little" Burnley. Let's hope we always keep that stupidity away from our views and remember that we have had to fight for every inch of success - no one has given it to us, no one has bought it for us and certainly if this season is anything to go by, no referee has "played the homer " for us.
The one thing we have is a gaffer who believes in our players - extracting that golden nugget of team effort and reliance on one another - long may it continue. UTC
(Still think we need a No.10 and an extra centre back for next season or miracle lotion which heals all injuries ready for the next game !!)

Some people seem to forget Keane was brilliant for us. He had the chance to be of course because mostly we played tight defence and counter attacking using Brats speed last season. Everton are not expected to play that way. They are supposed to be a top attacking team and so Keanes role is different to what he had at Burnley. Unfortunately for them Everton are not a top attacking team and the defence looks poor. In fact 4-1 today would not have flattered us.
