Yeah I think at the moment, we'll be second. But it depends on the Liverpool-Newcastle game. We could be 3rd.

Don’t think highlights from City game from Thursday will be shown. It’s not a fixture from this weekends games

97th minute and nothing happened in the 4 mins.
The aroma of the premier league.

How on earth are we behind Watford v WBA?

There's been a Q about the running order:
Q: I'm an arsenal fan but how is Burnley v Everton not on before Watford v West Brom?
A: Mid table games always suffer running order wise at this stage of the season. Stakes not as high.

As opposed to a mid-table team versus a rock bottom team....

Pretty much.
I can only think from the BBC's point of view - of not wanting the viewers to think it goes from best to worst. As otherwise, they could make people switch off as soon as the viewing gets worse. If it's a bit of a mixed bag, it would make people stay up longer not knowing what's to come.
I'm sure they do that without any explanation.

As usual I will record MOTD to avoid listening to the verbal diarrhoea of Shearer and co. It is then easy to find the Burnley game by scrollling back from the end. Not as easy as usual tonight but still easier than watching from the beginning. Will Lineker dare to mention his dreaded swear word: B*****y ?

I'm not a Lineker fan at all. I can't be doing with egos on TV, they do my head in. But the times I do watch MOTD he seems to give us a reaonable amount of praise. So does Shearer.
I couldn't say that the BBC have something against us. The only person I know who doesn't like us and is so unprofessional to make it obvious is Scott Minto on Sky. How that person is still employed is beyond me, but Lineker and Shearer do give us credit.

To be fair our match is very much a mid table nothing to play for match until there’s certainty over whether 7th qualifies for Europe. At the moment only the top six are guaranteed.

You could equally say WBA are down

Was a tad miffed but not surprised that Lowton's pass was not really commented on and as TH said on Sky if that had been De Brynne we would be talking about it all weekend.

They did comment - only to swiftly follow up on and dissect the flaws of Pickfords positioning

I know but as TH said had that been De Brynne it would be a weekend of gossip. Maybe on MOTD Pickford's positioning could well have been the after thought following 2-3 mins dissecting the brilliant thinking and passing by De Brynne.
The reality is, to me at least, Lowton is nowhere near the player De Brynne is hence that pass was much more news worthy with my Clarets specs on irrespective of Pickford's positioning

We and up to then, Everton, are vying for Europa league and top of the real league. That should count. Mid table is down a bit.

Well we’ve been top of the mini league for most of the last 4 months, but linekar only mentions this mini league when Leicester are top of it or close to top.

Ian Wright did praise Lowts and Barnes, briefly, but he still praised them.

After the game on Sky Jamie Redknapp commented "If the Lowton pass had been made by De Bruyne or David Silva it would be repeated on this channel throughout the weekend, and I hope it is."

The post match analysis obsessed with Pickford and his positioning.
They ignored Tarkowski's cool and cultured build up play and Lowton's, Kevin De Bruynaesque, pass that split the Everton defence and made Keane look like a pensioner, as Barnes latched onto the pin point pass.
If De Bruyna had made that pass, which was similar to one he made against us at the Etihad, that lead to one of their goals. Lineker and the guests would be salivating over it and replaying for half the programme.

Compare and contrast. Lowton's was better !

We might snatch sixth place yet.

Thought they managed to make the game look fairly even on chances shown which didn't reflect the game.
Re Pickford. He's competing for an England shirt, Southgate was there, he made some great saves but also showed his flaws. Fair enough for focusing on this in the build up to a World Cup.

we win, but the emphasis is why everton were poor, wright as always struggles to initiate any praise for us, he acknowledges odd bits because he has been too do a bit analysis , and it would be difficult to completely ignore us. He would prefer we weren't up there, or even in the division.

let them ignore us for as long as they like, I prefer under the radar ninjarism !
