Is there a murderer on the loose in Manchester after another young chaps body is recovered from the canal. Over 85 deaths in greater mc alone.not sure of the numbers in the city but there's been a lot.

A comparison would be Birmingham.

There was a TV documentary about The Pusher a couple of years ago. It's on YouTube.

There was a documentary on this topic a couple of years ago that proved totally inconclusive. It would also suggest that whoever this person is has a 100% success rate as there isn't a single survivor, which again is highly unlikely.

Went to watch Stone Roses at Heaton Park few years ago and ended up losing my phone and all my mates - in a drunken state I walked out of the wrong exit and ended up miles away from where I planned.

The night after another lad did the same thing and when followed on CCTV he took the same path I did but he ended up found in the canal - always wondered the more I have read about how many people end up in there if there is someone actively murdering them.

The brighter note of my story - of all the people who could have found my phone .... when I called it the next day it was answered and turned out to be a bloke that drinks in my local who gave it me back that afternoon.

I have just watched this (better quality if anybody wants to watch. https://vimeo.com/152464694" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) Very interesting and does get you thinking. Surely all those deaths can't be accidental?

It rings a bell, actually. I think the thinking was suicide, due to like you say, nobody surviving.

How do the numbers compare to somewhere like Birmingham? I know that York seems to have a lot of deaths by drowning in the Ouse, but usually found to be drink related, I think.

The documentary said that Manchester has had twice as many deaths than Birmingham with Birmingham having a larger canal system

So inconclusive equates to doubt.yes I watched the documentary I'm in the not sure camp..not sure they're accidental that is.

More miles of canal in Birmingham than in Venice. I'll be passing by the canal tomorrow going to work so I'll be extra vigilant.

I agree, but not sure it is a serial killer. I got the impression from the detective that he believed some of the deaths were murdered but not connected.
