Austin or Wood?
Both seem to have a knack of poaching goals and being in the right place at the right time -
Austin possibly the best natural goal scorer I have seen in a claret shirt in recent past.
Wood can bag a goal and has the same knack and doesn't mind running the channels either as shown with the Barnes assist earlier.
Who would you rather have?

Wood is more all round and a ruthless goal scorer too. I dread to think the damage they could do as a partnership!

Re: Austin or Wood?
I would say Wood has a better all round game. If we were desperate for a goal in a game I think I'd rather have Austin on the pitch.

That's a strange way of saying, "I disagree".bfccrazy wrote:You must be fun during transfer windows.
Re: Austin or Wood?
Wood has 8 goals this season, correct? what is his goal to game ratio? goal to minute? goal to start ratio? must be pretty impressive given he has 4 (I think) off the bench this season and he's missed a large part.
Re: Austin or Wood?
In all comps: 13 starts, 6 appearances from the bench, 1173 minutes, 8 goals, 146 minutes per goal (Source: whoscored.com)KRBFC wrote:Wood has 8 goals this season, correct? what is his goal to game ratio? goal to minute? goal to start ratio? must be pretty impressive given he has 4 (I think) off the bench this season and he's missed a large part.
Essentially a goal every game and a half. Looking forward to a full season from him next season.

Woods hold up play is superb as well as his goals to game tally.
His ability to bring those around him in to the game is a real asset to the team when he plays.

Austin for me above many strikers, done it over longer periods and should of been playing for England.
He has progressed his clubs Everytime he has moved performing in different systems with different players.
Wood has started alright though.

Different players.
Wood has more to his all-round game. Austin a better goal threat and more lethal.
....but you can't score when you don't play. I'll buck the trend and go with Wood.

Got to favour Wood Charlie is a predator but too many injury issues alas.
