Re: Jeff Hendrick's kind gesture
Superb gesture, our players are excellent and often go beyond what is needed.
Jeff has probably made that childs day, and hopefully he will only remember the positives from the game, and make him think of going to the football again, because the pictures and videos i have seen are very upsetting.
No parent should have to shelter and protect their children at a football game. There was children in tears and people running for their safety.
Well done Burnley players, for letting them sit on the bench out of the way of the aggresive crowds of men baying for blood

Re: Jeff Hendrick's kind gesture
As Jeff has given his boots away does that give SD an easier decision at the Baggies.
Well done Jeff. Top gesture.

We, as a team and club, are the only positive things that came out of that mess.

Think the result was pretty positive too. UTC. Always nice to see the human touch though and it seems weecc wrote:We, as a team and club, are the only positive things that came out of that mess.

Well done Jeff and all.

Jeff hands over his boots to the kid in question.
Kid in question looks at them and says "I've got a left and right foot. These boots are for someone with two left feet!".

A fantastic gesture. Dyche places Character of Spirit highly in his Players. This is a consequence of that, I believe.

Re: Mum Praises the Clarets
A nice story. Gives some of the details that were missing when the Photo came to light on Saturday.
There were some questions on here as to where the Kids’ parents were, followed by some, shall we call then ‘inexpensive’, comments implying that they were probably off fighting.
I’m glad that our Players demonstrated their Humanity to this lady and her three charges, though I’m sure the West Ham bench would have done the same, if they’d have been stuck behind them.

Re: Mum Praises the Clarets
A fantastic act of compassion by our players and staff. Some are Fathers themselves and reacted quickly to avoid these little lads getting caught up in the ridiculous 'protest'.
On a different topic, why do people insist on trying all sorts of hand gestures on photo's? The kid on the left actually looks like he is giving a V Sign to the camera.

Imagine if there was trouble near the directors box in the Bob Lord stand?
There would be walking sticks, Zimmer frames, Thermos flasks and even travel rugs flying about everywhere.
It would be carnage!

Mr positive, slagging off our own players at any given opportunity....Spijed wrote:Jeff hands over his boots to the kid in question.

Hidden on the BBC and diluted a bit.......... if this had been one of the "top 6" it would be internationally gushed...
Top 6 is still an option with our fixtures

Re: Jeff Hendrick's kind gesture
There are a lot of similarities between the way Dyche and his players behave to Brian Clough and his Forest team, albeit without Clough’s arrogance.
