That's what happens now, they just keep recycling the old managers. Nine Premier League clubs have changed manager now during this season and of them have appointed Hodgson, Pardew, Allardyce, Moyes, Lambert and Hughes.

Incredible. Fails miserably in the exact same league in the same season and wanders back into a big payday a month or so later. What a life (and don`t give me the bull about the stress)!

'...The objective clearly is to remain in the league and make sure we’re a Premier League club next year. That’s where this club needs to be, that’s where it should be, and that’s our intention to make sure it remains there...'

Hughes guilty of plagiarism! :?

I've heard this statement from 6 previously appointed (re-cycled) managers this season! ;)

What is it with these clubs employing failed managers. It can only be because they have experience in the Premier league. It's certainly not for their success rate.

The scary thing is obvious as well if you analyse it.

Have Palace improved from this time last year - Allardyce to De Boer to Hodgson. Probably not
WBA Pulis to Pardew. No.
Everton Koeman to Allardyce. No.
West Ham Billic to Moyes. Probably not.
Stoke Hughes to Lambert. No.
Southampton Puel to Pellegrino to Hughes. No.

Its hilarious how badly theyve all done.

I think with eight games to go there is a bit of common sense in this one and they have only committed to Hughes until the end of the season. It's often said that foreign coaches are blocking young English managers but it is this recycled lot who are blocking the way.

I saw this yesterday, sums up how some clubs work.

Palace have certainly improved since de Boer. So have Everton with Allardyce. And of course Swansea and Carvalho. I would say West Ham with Moyes too, although, as with all improvements in these circumstances it is keeping the momentum going that is difficult.

With Palace, it would have been interesting to see what de Boer would have achieved. They played really well at Turf Moor but couldn't put the ball in the net. Of course they were missing Zaha, probably they key for them.

The issue is for these clubs, what are their options? Southampton have had a run of foreign managers since Adkins and they initially did well. Perhaps Hughes grew a bit stale at Stoke and this is his chance to invigorate himself to be the capable manager he can be.

De Boee had a poor start but you cant measure a guy of 4 games. Hodgsons next 4 were no improvement.
Koeman started slowly last season and they played good football, fnished well and ended up in europe. Allardyce hasnt achieved that.
Swansea are an exception. But theyve not gone dow the route of job for the old boys and have replaced a crap manager with a left field appointment thats worked so far.
Has Moyes really done much better than Billic? They are 16th 3 points above relegation. Last season they finished 11th 11 points above relegatio.

Good work if you can get it being a Football Manager.

But let's face it, in Industry there are plenty of people who flit from one job to another increasing their salary each time on the strength of PowerPoint presentation.

They then prove to be completely underwhelming in the job.

Palace did play well at the Turf but Frank de Boer had been told to change his system so they wouldn't have played like that had he been selecting the team and system. I was told last week that it is some considerable time since Palace won without Zaha. No wonder they were desperate to get him back.

Hoping for a "dead cat bounce" and then have a rethink in the summer.

Hughes comments post our game with Stoke in December really annoyed me.

They are just a long ball team (didn't mention their 6ft 7" forward) and it's dropped for the lad and he's just hit it and it's gone in.

I hope he plays his part in 2 clubs going down. Classless tool.

They deserve to go down. Utterly useless manager.

Have you seen there run in ? Even Sean Dyche would struggle so he's no chance .

For all the grief they are getting on here there is a reason they keep getting jobs. Apart from Lambert they tend to keep clubs up.
None of them are of a level to challenge the top 6 so that is all they are asked to do. As soon as their mid-level clubs ask them to play more "football" it goes tits up.
I would like to see them have a go in the Championship but even there the same names rise to the top, Bruce, Colin, etc. Pulis is giving it a good go with Boro and they are playing more open.
