What a player this lad is. Would be good to see him in the premier league next year. Would be perfect for Arsenal chelsea or liverpool.

Back from injury against his former club Sampdoria today. Has scored 4 in less than 50 minutes.

Noticed he seems out of favour with Argentina. What's all that about? Can't be football reasons, heard a story about him knobbing a team mates missus?

I've always been impressed with Perisic whenever I've watched him play

Yeah that’s true but I forget who’s it was. Last season I think Icardi was made captain despite the Inter fans hating him and they ended up protesting about it at games with big banners and all. Don’t know their opinions on him now but he’s been a prolific goalscorer for them for the past three years.

Decent player. Take Juve and Napoli out of Seria A and you have the bottom half of the Championship though.

Not just a teammate. Maxi Lopez. His childhood idol. Hes now married to Lopez ex and mother of his kids. Lopez is mates with Messi. So unlikely he will play for them. Italy should do what they can to get him to play for them. He is eligible but has turned it down to date.

Outstanding player. He, Icardi, Candreva and Handanovic would get in most premier league sides.

Not strictly true. SPAL down the bottom held Juve last night. First time Juve havent scored in two years.

Roma are a very good team. Hammered chelsea in the champions league. Inter, Lazio and Milan would all be top half in the prem.

Not really, when you consider Atalanta humped Everton 8-1 over two legs in the Europa League. Granted Everton have been gash, but I can’t really see Burton doing that.

Pretty sure he was in Sampaoli's first couple of squads. Maybe they're waiting till Messi retires after the world cup? No Dybala either in latest squad, unbelievable the options they have in the forward department!

to be fair I didn't expect anyone to take me 100% literally ! There are 4 or 5 decent teams and two top teams, other than that the standard is rubbish compared to what it used to be

My thoughts exactly.

Moronic comment.

Even the lower to mid Serie A teams would give mid to lower premier league teams a game.

Its almost like you've never seen Serie A to be honest.

Too many draws. Theyve drawn 10 or 11 games. Oh and I backed them.

Yes true. I watched the Inter v Napoli game recently and was surprised at how reluctant Inter were to get forward.

It will be an interesting end to the season, really hope Napoli can knock Juve off their throne!

This is absolute bobbins seeing as he's already played for Argentina.

My mistake. Up until this season he had never played a competetive game. Didn't realise he had been capped in the competetive games this winter. Prior to that he had one friendly cap from 5 years ago.

"On 15 October 2013 he played his first game for the main squad, coming on as an 82nd-minute substitute for Augusto Fernández in a 2–3 FIFA World Cup qualifier loss away to Uruguay."

OK In which case I am completely wrong. Like I said, thought he had only played in friendlies and remember Italy sniffing round him when he was at Samp. Didnt realise he had played 8 minutes of a world cup qualifier.

For what its worth at the time he said he wouldnt play for Italy anyway.

Even if he had only made a friendly appearance it would mean he would be ineligible to play for another nation.

You're correct on that part.

"I'm very grateful to Italian football for the opportunity it has given me, I'd also like to thank Prandelli for the nice words he expressed about me. But I have to be honest and sincere – I'm Argentine, I feel Argentine, and I've always dreamed of wearing the shirt of my nation. To actually do that would be the maximum for me."

Thats not true. Zaha played for england against sweden i think it was. Now plays for the ivory coast. I hadnt realised Icardi had played competetively for the argentina team.

Diego Costa played 2 friendlies for Brazil before switching to Spain.

Jermaine Jones played for Germany before committing to the USA.

Alex Bruce played for Ireland before switching to Northern Ireland.

Nacer Chadli played for Morocco before switching to Belgium

Thiago Motta played for Brazil before switching to Italy.

And they're just some examples from the last few years.
