Jaap Stam sacked this morning by Reading

There will be some happy Reading fans in my workplace today then.

They're convinced they're going to get relegated and some I know have stopped going to see them recently.

He survived longer than I thought he would I expect he will go up the road to Oxford.

Remember when Reading and Oxford were rumoured to be combining and to take the name Thames Valley Royals.

Dont understand why clubs (and fans) dont show some patience. Especially when they have earnt it.

Sadly, last year is an eternity ago in football and patience,it seems, is exhausted amongst supporters.

I've just made the mistake of looking that up...

Warburton and his ability to develop young stars may be s good fit.Theres no money anymore and the problem of letting their pitch get trashed by Neanderthals playing rugby on it doesnt help to make a suitable surface for football

I think that Stam will have success as a manager in the future.

There’s clearly a shortage of upcoming British Managers when he continues to be recycled.
I could understand an appointment until the end of the season and the club then reviewing the wider situation.

Sky were reporting he was up against Cotterill for the role, so Reading fans can count themselves extremely fortunate.

Very good news for 4 of the 5 teams below them, but maybe a bit too late to save Sunderland.
Not much room for him to run up and down the touchline at Accy next season though.

Reading struggle since poor old Madejski tried to bring in extra funding from billionaires...they shafted the club.

Don't understand the antipathy. Is it because he celebrated a goal against us a bit too enthusiastically for some?
By the way, as I remember, we were thoroughly outplayed in that match and deserved to lose!
