Lunatic Boris Johnson

This guy will take us to war if he's allowed to carry on dishing out he's comments and opinions in the way he is doing, it's absolute lunacy and time Teresa May put a stop to it, but then I suppose she's just too wrapped up in the other topic that's completely taken over.

I don't think that he will quite surpass a certain TB when it comes to warmongering ---he isn't as clever at conning people.

I like good, old Bojo. He makes me laugh. About time we went to war with someone anyway, it's been ages. Let's nuke Russia for starters.

Johson only agreed to a comment made by Labour MP Ian Austin.
So should this post be called Lunatic Ian Austin. Not seen many calling him.

Daft words.
But not quite as sinister as trying to execute political opponents on foreign soil.
But yes, a bell end.

So do comedians, but I wouldn't have wanted Ken Dodd, or his dad's dog, for Foreign Sec.

Austin just said Putin would use it to gloss over his Brutal regime didn't he?
I don't think he mentioned Hitler anywhere, that all belongs to Boris.

On second thoughts, Ken Dodd might have made a good Foreign Sec. He could have tickled Putin's balalaikas.

He was responding to a question from Labour MP Ian Austin, who suggested Russia's President was planning to use the event "in the way Hitler used the 1936 Olympics" as a propaganda exercise to "gloss over" Russia's "gross human rights abuses".

Not doubting it, but Johnson only agreed with the comment made by another MP, right or wrong.
Boris is a tool but Ian Austin made the original comment.
Truth be told Austin might want to look for another job.
Comrade Corbyn won't like his favourite state being slagged off by a party member.

Would it have been better if he'd said President Putin isn't going to use it to gloss over anything, and he isn't aware of any human rights abuses?

Wonder what will happen with relations if there is a major terrorist attack in Russia within the next few months and Russia ask for counter-terrorism advice from the UK?
Despite the rhetoric from Boris, you can bet that Teresa May will issue a speech saying Britain stands shoulder to shoulder with Russia and Putin.
And relations will suddenly be healed.
Total hypocrisy.

Some people defend the indefensible based upon the colour of their allegiance to a particular party, that doesn’t surprise me at all. What does, is that the leaders of these parties allow it to happen!

The fact that Boris Johnson was ever appointed Foreign Secretary is the most glaring example imaginable that our Prime Minister makes decisions without the slightest regard for what is best for this country. The fact that he still holds the position is utterly beyond belief.

The idea that it was OK for Boris to say something because someone else had said it first is so ridiculous it's not even funny. He holds (god help us) one of the four acknowledged most powerful and prestigious political appointments in the country. We should ALL expect from him a measured and considered response to a statement such as that from Austin. The Russian ambassador was able to trample all over our government in a news conference this afternoon and appear to be thoroughly reasonable in so doing because of Boris' stupid statement.

Johnson being appointed Foreign Secretary was all about keeping (Tory) Brexit MPs happy. Same goes for Liam Fox and Davis. May is a prisoner of her own party. They don't really like her, especially after she squandered their majority away last June, but the alternative is too horrendous for them to even contemplate.

In his interview with another Russian Andrew Marr looked insipid because he didn't know enough to counter the lies of the Russian. Same here. They are outright liars. Always have been.

Hang on a minute, this is not unlike when bojo answered another question about telling Brussels to “ go and whistle” and then being quoted as if verbatim .
Bojo’s A pretty decent chap all things said , while he’s not exactly Kissinger in the diplomacy stakes he does tend to use the facts and hit the nail on the head .

I think you should start broadening your mind a little bit. Letting them have a sample isn't about having them admit to it, it's about denying them the ability to say "how can we even verify this attack even happened if the UK denies us a sample?". Along with various other water-muddying versions of denials.
And it costs us nothing.

Its all double standards anyway, we suck up to China when it suits, knowing full well their disgusting record on human rights, protesters forcibly kept away in the UK for god's sake.
Same with world cup, our foreign minister says "Its for the england team to decide whether or not they go "
As long as there are deals to be done it looks like anything goes and turning a blind eye is commonplace.
Johnson only seems to act tough when there's a potential gain in this country when he makes a stand very occasionally, he's had plenty chances to be outspoken where it counts before and inevitably said NOTHING.

Corbyn is asking the government to follow international procedure with this, rather than have them fly off the handle and look stupid. I know who I would rather have in office.

Corbyn said it. That's what's wrong with it. For some people if Corbyn said something then it's a reflext to immediately and vitriolically oppose it.

Over 20 million Russians lost their lives fighting the Nazis.
Putin's father fought the Nazis.
Britain and the USA attended the 1936 Berlin Olympics games.
Soviet Russia boycotted the 1936 Berlin Olympics games.
Johnson's comments were as idiotic as they were insulting to the Russian people.

Most of which is scarcely relevant.
But to the extent that it is relevant, remember that Germany weren't the only country to invade Poland in August 1939, and Stalin's Russia was a sleeping partner of Germany until 1941, and the only reason Russia started fighting Germany then was because Germany was invading Russia and Russia fought in self-defence.
