I've not heard or read anything about it, from the south of France.

Tell us the gory details.

It's on the BBC website, LordBob.
Ah, well.
I'm not sure what the "Back to normal in France" is supposed to mean. Happens all the time, does it ?

I had a look.

They're describing Carcasonne as "outside Montpellier" which is like saying that Burnley is "outside Manchester".

Not yet but he probably is. Mentally sound people don't commit mass murder.

Unless this board considers that politically you are slightly right of centre then you are a "Nazi "

They'd claim responsibility for it, but I don't think there's anyone left.

BD, there seems to be a movement afoot to confuse common sense (i.e. everyone must think the same) with common sense (i.e. anyone with any intelligence has a chance of locating and taking action regarding the same universal fact.)

The other week i suggested that someone might want to get their head checked out (they had become quite nazi-ish over recent years). I could have instead just called him a Nazi if you like. Anyway, some of the far-right and right wing users on here flipped their ****, said that my post was a "disgrace" and got it deleted.

Maybe you guys should make up your mind about what you'd like your extremists be called. Are they mentally ill, or are they Nazis?

Having been to Carcassone, I can tell you it`s a lot further actually, 1hr 41 or 152 km of stunning countryside, nice journey.

Isn’t Carcasonne one of those places Ryan Air/EAsyjet pretend is Barcelona?

It's very, very nice. A bit Disney for my liking (it's 90% Victorian folly) but it's a great weekend.

Recommend it.

But Montpellier is better.

The Policeman who surrendered himself in place of the hostages is an incredibly brave man.
Now seems he's fighting for his life.
Really hope he pulls through.

They do if they believe their actions are morally justified in the eyes of 'God' - i.e. in Jihad.

R.I.P to the innocent, another total travesty.

It todays world, the word 'hero' is thrown about all too lightly and in many cases it has lost its meaning, but this guy truly was a hero. What a brave man.

As a staunch atheist, I'd say they're still mentally unsound.
