I’m so sorry to hear this news. I met Kath when I was invited to Stan’s soon after he’d left Burnley in 2004. No one could have made me more welcome than Kath did.

My thoughts are with Stan, Chris & Dan and the family.

Stan will be devastated given my understanding of her place in his life and how often he referred to her when talking about his life in football.
My condolences to a Stan and his family.

Ffs. I only said yesterday to my dad was watching some of the old videos of stan that bfc2017 had put on youtube and was watching back with fond memories.

Was a good manager for us playing a huge role in where we are today and out of all of them he was the one who we all seemed to know most about outside his job as manager. His wife clearly being a massive part of his life. Very sad to hear. Thoughts go out to Stan and his family. Knowing how passionate he was this must be awful for him.

Stan Ternents Claret and Blue Army.

Does Stan still attend matches? Could they do something v Leicester? Stan falls into that category of Brian Miller and all who are part of the “Burnley family” which you don’t really see as much these days.

Not so much a minutes applause etc, but they could invite him and the family as guests and make some sort of announcement before reading out the teams before kick off?

We wouldn't be where we are now without Stan, and he would not have done it without the unfailing support of his wife Kath. So we all owe Kath a great deal. Sorry to hear of her untimely passing, thoughts and prayers with the whole extended family at this time.

Such a shame for Stan and his two sons. He doesn’t look like the kind of bloke who would particularly thrive in Widowerhood. I hope his Family and Freinds are there for him in his Hour of Need.

Absolutely not ! This is a private family matter, and apart from expressing our condolences, the family should be afforded the privacy to support and comfort each other at this sad time .....
