Heaton playing means he will likely be on the bench for our next Premier League game.
Can't see how Pope can be dropped ATM.

Does that translate into a suspension for the first team?

No. He can play in the first team but will be suspended for three U23PDL games

What has he done? Committed an asssault on one of the officials or was it more a case of a notch to the referee in his quest for SG1 status?
On a brighter note, it is good to see another 3 points in the bag after the season which has developed. Michael Duff certainly seems to have improved things since the middle of January.

Must have been with a barrow load of 4 letter expletives to be a straight red.
Hardly- I think you may have missed that ref!!!!

You have to remember thoughthat he was playing as an over age player in the Development League so that he has to set an example and not use language that those young boys will not have heard before and definitely not seen professionals using on TV!

Silly bugger, should have had more sense than to get sent off in the 91st minute in an under 23 game..

No one I spoke to had a clue why he'd been sent off to be honest but looks as though he had a word with the referee. We just saw the red card come out, nothing had happened so it had to be for something he said.

WTF is he doing getting sent off in the last minute of an under 23 game when we're winning 3-0?!

3-1 as it happens, and it is difficult to comment because no one knows what he's said or done.

No, teenager. He's from Leyton Orient but has been playing at Romford on loan.

Any of the younger players who stand/stood out? Presume players like Massanka who have been here a while will probably be released in the summer?

The player who I thought stood out like a beacon today was Aiden O'Neill

QPR used a tacit today that I've not seen for years.
With Burnley taking a corner in the first half, QPR put 4 players on or near to the half way line. From the resulting corner, Burnley scored their first goal.
When Burnley were defending a corner, all 11 men were inside the penalty area, just like the first team do.
In the second half Burnley won an attacking free kick and once again QPR put 4 players on the half way line and once again Burnley scored their third goal.
I've always felt that the first team should put two players on the half way line when we are defending a corner and force the opposition to bring 2 of 3 players back to cover them.
The Clarets have been brilliant defensively this season so I obviously got it wrong.

I agree tony about O'Neill but for his progression he should not be playing at this level utc

Thats good to hear. Hope he gets a chance in the first team.
I would be getting sent off in added time if I was Marney.
Frustrating long injury results in time away from playing.
Recover from injury but contract out in summer (uncertain future)
Potentially having 5-6 players ahead of him in the pecking order when fit
He should set a good example but I can totally relate to his situation right now. I think everyone is fond of him and I really hope he stays with us but it may be for his own good to find another club to get some play time and a longer contract at the end of his career.

O’Neill was a level above the rest today (including Marney). Ran the midfield, quality ball winning skills
