Mine was Cambridge two days after I was born. Which is strange as Cambridge (2 years later) was also my first match.

A glamorous 2-0 defeat at home to Stockport in November 89. Great days.

That means a lot of work I've been doing recently has been a waste of time

Just got the Michael keane goal against Middlesbrough ....one of the most dramatic goals I've seen at the turf ..hairs went up my neck! Everyone celebrating including the stewards was fantastic.middlesbrough doing the same to us when they scored...karma

Well I never.....

Strangely I don't know which was my first Burnley game. It was in the first half of the 91/92 season but I've no idea which it was.

I do remember the first game I went to though, it was Barrow v Farnborough in September 1991.

We drew 0-0 with Man utd at the Turf on my birthday.

My first game was a 1-0 home defeat to Orient in 1979 in front of 7195 hardy souls, and I was hooked from the very first time I stepped onto the Bee Hole End as a 5 year old

Why is that?

I was born the day before our FA Cup Final against Charlton in 1947. My dad, no longer with us, had been to every game in that historic cup run and had a ticket for the final at Wembley but because my mother decided to have me a week or so earlier than expected, he couldn't go to the final. I don't think he ever forgave me. However he was a true claret of 75 years watching them til the day he died. I bet he is still as proud as punch about what we are achieving today.

1-1 against Bury at the Turf in the FA cup, the day after my Birthday.

Only took my Dad and Grandad five and a half years to take me to my first (potentially last at the time) Burnley game on the 9th May 1987. The one and only occasion three generations of Darth graced Turf Moor at the same time.

17th March 1962 versus Spurs 2-2 and over 46 thousand on, although other sites show a different attendance. Couldn’t get this to work without the correct date. Will have another look

I was born shortly after our last game in the First Division in '76. For most of my life I'd assumed that was as close as I'd ever come to seeing us in the top flight.
