Didn't think he could have long left but wasn't expecting that news today.
Gareth Barry, albeit out injured, was out in a nightclub on Friday night. That wouldn't happen at Burnley, nor would we be nicking taxis on a training camp. They have clearly undermined him from day one.

Cant really see what good its gonna do now. Theyre gone.
Unless theyre gonna stick a temp in and have a good search in summer.
....or unless they already have their new man lined up.

How many managers have we condemned now...? Or is it that managers only seem to get potted after defeat to lil’ol’Burnley...?

Is that the third this season after playing us? Palace, Soton and now WBA? I think WHU and Swansea ditched their managers somtime after we palyed them

From Twitter..
@GalacticKeegan
Some people have a low opinion of Al Pardew but I remember after my England side crashed out of Euro 2000, he immediately sent me a text saying “LOL.”
For him to take time out to wish me lots of love meant the world.

Really strange choice in the first place.
Couldn't understand why they would get rid of Pulis & appoint Pardew.
The player's were obviously straining at the short leash that Pulis had on them, but when Pardew came in they took their chance to go AWOL.

If you are a BAME manager seeking a chance you must be furious all these busted flushes (Pardew, Hughes, Lambert) keep getting jobs.
Time to pick based on potential rather than repeated failure.

WBA got what they deserved in appointing Pardew.
I would not be surprised if now has the worst record in the history of the Premier League when you look at his time of WBA and his last year at Palace.
Hopefully this will be his last chance in the Premier League...he`s an odious little git aswell as a sh-it manager.

Feel so sorry for him...will have pocketed a few hundred thousand pounds compensation and just in time to get a tv punditry job for the world cup telling other managers how to manage.....sickening really.

Beat me to it Rick. Arsene after a home defeat to the Burnley would be lovely.
Thing is, the smart money would be on arse to win by cheating.

Didn't used to mind him but saw him at an upmarket function where he was clearly in love with himself. Not sure why WBA struck with him a few weeks back.

Football management seems to be the only profession where previous failures don't seem to have any bearing on future employment prospects.
Look at Mark Hughes - sacked by Stoke for getting them into the relegation zone then immediately employed by Saints as the answer to getting them out of the sae predicament
Can't understand why that appointment is not bearing fruit

When he got that eight year contract at Newcastle, he must have thought all his birthdays, Christmas,
Mardi Gras and Preston Guild had come at once.
And cartwheeled all the way home.

Agreed there are far too many repeated failures in football management
But can we please not judge people on the colour of their skin or use it to categorize them?

Why always after the Burnley wins do owners fire their managers do they see us as the lowest of the low and to be beaten by the Clarets means you have hit rock bottom ?

It's an example of positive discrimination gone mad - giving jobs to the managerial inept.

Nothing's gone right for him since he did this.
Talk about tempting fate, Palace conceded a goal about a minute later and it was downhill all the way after that.

Some successes but more mediocrity and failure, in his managerial career. 5.5% win rate with WBA. Bet Pulis is laughing his socks off!

Took Charlton down from the Premier League, after taking over at Christmas.
He was then sacked after he took them into the bottom three in the second tier.

You may well be correct - but Palace sacked him to avoid relegation after he won 6 games in 36 in 2016.
WBA sacked him after 8 consecutive defeats and they have accepted they are already relegated.
He’s that bad now that he can’t even get a team relegated !

Ni idea why he took the job. Pulis is a totally different manager who got absolute maximum out of old, past it players.
They have no pace, no creativity, no youth and no goals. Even Guardiola would have struggled there.

Because it’s an easy payout. He’s been given a **** load of money for just a few months work. If he kept them up, he might’ve got a bonus...
