Burnley v Wigan - Lancs Youth Cup latest

43 mins: Burnley 0 Wigan 1

No complaints. They’ve been by far the better side.

Sounds like a goalscorer from the 1920s.

Lost 2-1. Much, much better in the second half and so unlucky to go out.

It looks as though it will be a 'nearly' season which started with the Tournament when we finished runners-up.
Nevertheless, the last two seasons have seen improvements made under Michael Duff and now Danny Cadamatri so let's hope that they can continue to make progress.

I remember watching the Youth Team lose at home in the Youth Cup to Metropolitan Police a couple of seasons ago. That was the nadir - worst Youth Team I've seen at Burnley in 50 years. There's certainly been progress since then.

Huge progress since then. Still a long way to go but we are getting a lot better.

That Met Police game was a shocker...they were better than us on the night ...no fluke. Tony will know , but Im sure Aiden O'Neill played that night.Always remember the parents of the Met Police lads after the game...some of them were in tears.

As bad as they were, I wouldn't say they were better than us at all but their goalkeeper had an inspired night and ours had a nightmare game. No surprise, given the performances of the two, that they won it when it went to pens.
