Leicesters best opportunity so far to take 7th off you.

Will this be the weekend when Leicester catch us?

In a word, No. They aren't particularly in form whilst we are playing well and getting good results. Hopefully have JBG back as well and I am quietly confident of getting a result down there.

Burnley 7th in the form table v Watford 13th.

Leicester 8th in the form table v Newcastle in 9th.

The Geordies will get a point.

Good job footballs not the exact science you are suggesting, or we may as well go shopping..

Remember, we only need a draw at Watford to remain in 7th.

Typical ‘stards fan.

Start getting all chopsy when they’ve won a couple.

In league one.

Any score predictions?

I will go with a 2.1 win to the Clarets. That and a Leicester lose would be quite something!

I'd be happy enough for Leicester to finish 7th - as long as we finish 6th and Arsenal 8th.... how good would that be?

Standard 2-1 Burnley win hopefully.

My main worry is that ref and if Watford try the same antics as they did at t'Turf. Some of which was the most blatant fouling and diving in one game I've seen for a long time.

Only worry was Richarlison back then but he didn't seem to fancy it when it was about -26 on the Turf. Hopefully we can keep him quiet. Him, Mahrez, Hazard and Shaqiri should be fun to deal with in the next few weeks.

Saw on Twitter yesterday in an interview with JBG that he expects to miss the Watford game this weekend.

I never think we will win before just about every game in this League, it feels so much better when we do!

That's a pity, but not a major concern as hopefully getting a run in the team will be good for GKN.

Pish. I just played FIFA18, PSG v BFC, live squads and JBG started. We got a credible 0-0 draw at their place. Thought I did well TBH.

Watford will be a lot tougher than the woeful virtually relegated West Brom and also that toxic West Ham game where WH simply imploded . Both teams had good chances and if their confidence hadn’t been shot to pieces things could have been very different .That said we’re playing confidently and truly have Europe to play for as opposed to Watford who have only Troy and Andre’s “ two Watford players 1 cup” end of season party antics to look forward too

Looking forward to a 4th win on the bounce. Watford must be my most visited away ground now, first went there in Aug 97, full of hope for Waddle's first league game in charge.....

Aye, that was my first visit as well.

Boiling hot, a dire performance and some vile racist abuse from some of our fans to the Watford fan who was a friend of my mate.

Hell of a turn out that day for Waddle's first game against a team with Micah Hyde and wonder-kid (pre injuries) Gifton Noel-Williams. I think we left deflated but still full of hope, it took a short while longer for that hope to disappear.

My first visit was 1971/72 season, lost 2-1 with Jeff Parton making his debut in goal. I think Frank Casper got a late consolation goal for us.

Perhaps if all goes to plan Accy Clarets can have an unscheduled Leicester pub stop on their way home being six points clear and all that??

Not tempting anything!

I remember the boiling hot day and the dire performance. And the home fans only pub on the corner behind the away end there was a little set to outside. One of their brave boys inside the pub decides he will give it the Gareth Hunt Nescafe shuffle sign at a Burnley fan walking past the pub, who promptly smashed his fist through the window.

Remember getting back to the car after the game in ridiculous temperatures and I had a nail in a tyre. I had my next door neighbour with me who was a lot older and had suffered a stroke and my nephew and his mate who were both kids. That left me to do the wheel change on my own. I wouldn't have minded had we won.

Was it 7 games without a goal? I also went to Southend where we lost without scoring. And Brentford where we lost to a last minute Raply goal but at least scored. I at least got free tickets for that one - a bloke I knew through work was related to Ron Noades so got me a couple of complimentaries.

The only Sun that came out that day would have been a newspaper. I was thankful i hadnt travelled that far, though my mate Steve Baldwin had come down from Burnley for the weekend. I am guessing that was late 2000 or early 2001?

Brentford? Mark Ford goal?

I was on a bus back to Ealing broadway full of celebrating Brentford fans. I was quietly fuming and staring into space.

That was the one. Sure that Kevin Rapley's winner was an overhead kick infront of the away fans. I lived about 10 minutes away from Ealing so managed to get away from the ground and home in no time.

Around November 2000 and we won 1-0 when it was finally played with Gareth Taylor's first Burnley goal.

I wasn't feeling too well so came out of the pub and got into the ground before the rain came. I've never seen anything like it and the players warming up had to run for cover. It was finally called off but had they left it another 10 mins or so they'd have been able to play with no problem. The rain disappeared as quickly as it came and out came the sun.

Thought it was. I had just started seeing my now wife while I was still married to my first wife! Wife #1 had gone to visit a friend in Ireland thus freeing me up for a weekend of footy and beer on Saturday and a day out in Surrey with the future Wife#2 on the Sunday

That when Waddle booted the ball into towards the massive end as the teams came out and missed the stand?!?!

We were at the opposite end to where we are now I seem to remember- had to walk out down by some allotments?

Just to add to the link. Today is our 15th wedding anniversary and on our wedding day Burnley were at home to Watford. In between formalities someone asked if i had heard the score, this being pre internet phone days. It's Burnley 4........ I thought not only are the weather gods smiling on me with 20+degrees of Devon sunshine, so are the footballing ones. Then the Watford score was revealed.
