How do we thank the amazing work this man has done?

Start with a ginger beard on elastic and a nickname. Then a mural. Dyche merchandise in the shop inc using that mural image.

A training ground renamed after him. Then a statue.
Finally, a museum.
Howzat!

By getting behind the team on a matchday and the club giving him a huge contract and salary. Both are done.

We need a proper good chant for Dyche! I remember the "Thats Dyche" one that was posted on claretsmad, I always thought If we could get that one going it would be special, still could be!? Anyone able to dig it up?

We've tried "Sean Dyche's Claret and Blue Army" in the CFS but the speed singers have managed to adapt that to "Seandiceclablooarmy" so anything else might be a bit more ambitious.

The speed singers thing seems to be turning into a tedious excuse for an inability to either think of, or sing, a song that’s not from our easily adaptable ‘insert name here’ type songs with little more than two lines.

Dyche certainly deserves a proper song with some well thought out lyrics, paying homage to everything he’s done for the club.

Not helped by virtually nothing rhyming with "Dyche" . To catch on a chant has to be fairly brief and to an ear-worm type tune that everyone knows. How about this to "Hey Jude"

Sean Dyche
He is Our King
Took a bad team
And made it better
He's Ginger
We let him into our heart
Now you can see
Just how much better

Na na na na na na na
Na na na na
Sean Dyche

I'm off out now !

Unreal.

It will be a sad sad day for the club when we finally part company, whatever the circumstance.

He’ll go down as one of the best we’ve ever had.

So many managers boom upon arrival, leave and bust. He appreciates us, our club and is firmly connected with the town.

Any other manager would have been off 2 or 3 years ago. This fella is made of respect and dignity, and it shows through in claret and blue on and off the pitch every week.

Long may his association with Burnley FC continue.

I like that St Albans but a little tweak?
Sean Dyche
He is Our King
Took a bad team
And made it better
Remember to let him into your hearts
Then you will see
How we play better

This! This is a brilliant idea, and with no clapping in it then the speed singers will have trouble wrecking it. It’s got more than 4 words though... :?

Surely the ultimate Sean Dyche song would be to the tune of Vanilla Ice's 1990 hit song.

Say it with me now...

Dyche Dyche baby.

Don't think we should put down any previous players, so if you used...

"Took a bad team
And made it better"

...it might be better to sing...

"Took a good team
And made them better"

and then "better" isn't a great description...

"And made them unbeatable" (or whatever you can come up with)

It's been said over and over, but when he took charge of first team matters, I couldn't have envisaged he would be taking us into European competition. It's not nailed on, and could yet elude us, but blimey, what a scenario. Even the long standing dismissive pundits are waxing lyrical over us. It's hard to take in especially when we have another thread currently open about our near miss in 1987.
In the words of Kammy, "Unbelievable!"

There's a fire burning in my heart,
Reaching fever pitch and bringing me out the dark,
Finally I see you crystal clear,
Go ahead and send us up,
Sean Dyche we hold you dear.

The stars above, they remind me of, that I can't help feeling,
We could have it all,
Europe is the dream,
You have my heart and soul in your hands,
And we play, with a beat.
