Did their used to be a Blackburn edition and a Burnley edition as the sport and editorial used to be focused on this side of East Lancashire with a small section for our friends down the road.
Nowadays all of the sport is Rovers based, do I really want the 16 page Rovers promotion push special in today’s edition and the back page features a full page article on Danny Graham and all the Rovers latest.
Have all my local newsagents been taken over by Rovers fans or is something more sinister afoot ?

Don't think its owt sinister, its just a rubbish paper and has been for years. There's nothing interesting in it
and its the printed equivalent of Radio Blackburn.
Wouldn't have it in the bog.

Cancelled ours about a fortnight ago when it became an all Blackburn area daily paper.
They now do a weekly paper for the Burnley area -the Burnley Star which comes out every Thursday and is free from some supermarkets, (ASDA for one), or costs 50p at other outlets.
Not bad at all for BFC news and articles with eight pages of it. Quite a good summary of local news as well without any Blackburn area stuff.
Edit :-Sorry, just seen post 4

Can’t recall the last time I bought a paper and I usually get all the local news via online
I’m surprised newspapers are still going tbh, especially “local” daily ones

Has anyone had one of those promotional people ringing them up asking if
theyd like to take the LT at reduced cost for a few weeks? I had a woman phone
up about it, so i just told her what i thought of the rag. I wasnt abusive or rude,
cos shes only doing her job, but i left her in no doubt about my views.
She sounded truly amazed that i could describe her paper as "utter rubbish" (among other phrases)
and said she would pass on my comments to her bosses.
Cant just be me, surely.
