2nd best for 60 minutes but we manage to find a way to win, more than happy with that. I thought the attacking players struggled but we spent a lot of time sat in deep so it would be unfair to really criticise especially given we've won the game. Leicester losing makes it all the more satisfying, sets up a huge game next.

We weren't physical enough with Lennon and GKN. Better to finish with those two, if we're having to push for it, than start with both. That said, we won! Je vais apprendre le français pour la saison prochaine.

I see GK is picking up consistent low marks and if I was allowed to score I would have been in that range. The professional view, on his substitution, was that he'd had a good game especially with his defensive effort.

Horrible 1st half totally outplayed and outfought no service of any description for the forwards.The goal our 1st legit chance , and quick follow up goal from Cork nicked it and we held on well against a talented side.

Pope - 8 - apart from one dropped cross late on, really solid under pressure from the high ball, and made a couple of excellent saves.

Lowton- 7 - stuck to his task terrifically and might have had an early assist when Wood was flagged offside.

Ward - 7 - similar to Lowton albeit without the assist but did well to cover Nkoudou's inexperience in the first half in particular.

Tarkowski - 6 - thought he was a but sloppy today at times and (from 90 yards away) appeared he might have done better for their goal- but for the most part his class was still evident.

Long - 7 - he's not the best on the ball and he's a touch suspect on the turn, but he's turned into a reliable understudy and he won the physical battle today with Deeney.

Westwood - 7 - overrun at times and struggle a little with the athleticism of Watford's midfield, but stuck to his task, but put his body on the line more than once and showed his quality when he got the chance.

Cork - 7 - much like Westwood, and of course showed all the desire in the world to force that header over the line.

Lennon - 6 - really solid defensively and on the rare occasions he got a chance he looked dangerous enough.

Nkoudou- 5 - showed some nice touches when given the chance in the second half, but saw little of the ball in the first half and for all hos willingness, his inexperience defensively was really exposed first half.

Wood - 6 - still a threat when he got a chance, but isolated at times and his hold up game wasn't as good as we'd have wanted for long periods.

Barnes - 6 - probably should have scored first half but like Wood wasn't able to provide the outlet we needed whilst he was up front. Did a shift out wide.

Vokes - 7 - I suspect the goal itself rather than his arrival changed the momentum of the game, but the ball stuck with him in a way it hadnt been previously.

Hendrick- not on long enough but steady.

An old fashioned smash and grab really but that's testament to the mentality and conditioning of the squad. 442 worked well last week but i didnt think it did today - the front 2 were isolated and the midfield 2 overrun at times - arguably it was a good illustration of why 451 has worked for us this season and I thought we might have reverted to that at half time to help stem the tide.

But we didn't, the second half carried on much as the first had and in truth at 1-0 it looked more likely to go 2-0 than 1-1 - but then came Vokes, it turned out Watford couldn't deal with being put under real aerial pressure, but really it was our grit and determination won the day - which is exactly why we will probably finish 7th.

The substitutions changed the game for us as we became more evenly matched physically. I thought we mugged them for this win but will happily take it.

Pope - 9 - MOM, really outstanding today, so dominant in our penalty area
