Seems to be direct link from Euston and Kings Cross. Think it's the Victoria Line.

It is the Victoria Line. 2 stops from Kings Cross, 3 from Euston.

You can take a Great Northern train from Kings Cross to Finsbury Park.
Only a couple of quid or can be used with your Travelcard if you have one.

In London? Kings Cross. Out of London there are many (Cambridge, Stevenage, etc).
If you mean by tube as well then 10 minutes from Euston/Kings Cross, 20 from Victoria.
A few more specifics would help.

If you are coming from the North and looking to park and catch a train for the last leg, there are direct trains from Stevenage to Finsbury Park. if you want a slower stopping train closer to London, Welwyn Garden, Potters Bar are all options. Depends really on where you are coming from and what you are looking for.

Thank you for all the responses which are really helpful. To be more specific I will be travelling down the M1 (South bound) by car. I remember parking at and training it in from a North London provincial station in 2010, arriving at Finsbury Park in about 25 minutes. Think it was near the Spurs training ground. I can't remember the name of the station though, any offers ? Sincere thanks.

Numerous ways to do this. e.g M1 South to J10, Luton Airport follow signs for Hitchin A505, in Hitchin follow signs to Railway Station, trains take 25 minutes to Finsbury Park. Decent car park at Hitchin station.

Car park at Hitchin 2.50 all day, one stop further away than Stevenage but only 5 mins on train. 30 mins from Finsbury Park. Herts Jnr and i will be getting the train from Hitchin.

No problem. I will add if you are driving down, I usually go across M62 and down the A1. Much less traffic and roadworks than M1. Come off at J9 for Letchworth and you avoid town centres. Hitchin station will be about 10 mins from the A1.

John. Check on road closures on A1 around massive roadworks at Huntingdon. My wife got caught in a diversion through country lanes 2 weeks ago on a Saturday. They're building a new intersection with A14 and 40mph speed limit for a good few miles with the ubiquitous cameras so if there is a closure I would avoid this route - which incidentally is my route of choice to and from Burnley in normal circumstances. Just worth checking!
