Couldn’t stand for a full match myself but know many want to stand and believe it is safer than what is happening now so I have signed.

They need to have a minimum amount of signatures before they'll discuss it in parliament.
It doesn't mean that they all have to be there to listen, they could be busy doing the fiddling of their finances.

That's over 3000 people signed in the past couple of hours. They should hit their target alright.

I thought the idea with petitions was that they gave an idea of the number of people that supported a particular cause. If everyone just signed as many times as they like it dilutes their credibility, and is an abuse, in a way. That's my opinion.
It's a shame. I hope this is not common practice as it undermines a noble enterprise.

The names that I have used would support the cause when I tell them - it’s just they are not particularly tech savvy so I’ve done it for them

Shouldn’t do that. It is a petition to the Government which you can only sign once.

As explained I haven’t done it 3 times in my name.
I’ve done it on behalf of my “technically challenged” family members - who if able to would sign it themselves

It’s probably part of the reason why they ask for 100K, basically to weed out any ‘dodgy’ votes.
It will likely get to 100K but do your bit and share the petition around.

Signed and shared on Twitter. This is my one dream for football in England for the benefit of everybody. The infrastructure is there, it's a proven success, it will increase safety, it will better the atmosphere, it will help out those not wishing to stand for whatever reason. It's time for this to happen and has been time for a good while now.

They usually find a way of not even discussing it in parliament.
That'll be the case with this one.
For the record, I DID sign it though, it needs to happen and there's no real excuse for it not to

Looking at the map of signed petitions, they are very much centred around the north west. This will need spreading to the other 'hotbeds of football' across the country in order to gain traction.

Hadn't realised you could do that Transpennine but just had a look. It seems there are more Burnley constituents voted than any other.
