I think the referee was desperately, desperately looking for any form of contact in the box.

Had to send buffon off for that reaction but it wasn't a penalty. Madrid player was going down before any contact was made. Same all night.BabylonClaret wrote:Not a pen - and to send off buffon on top???

Re: Madrid vs Juve
Just shows how soft the game has become when pens are given for any form of contact. Add to that the constant diving and feigning injuries from both teams and it's safe to say that football stopped being a man's game a long, long time ago.

What's your problem? The foul happend 2.5 minutes into injury time. He then added on what was remaining after the kick off.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Couldnt wait to blow for full time. What a ****** ref.

Laughable decision. On his way down before the contact. Football is becoming almost unwatchable.

Re: Madrid vs Juve
There's a view from high that does show a push from behind before he gets his leg around him. I think he clearly bundles him over, no real exaggeration to the fall, he clattered in from behind. Defo penny for me, but my oh my I wanted juve to win.
Re: Madrid vs Juve
The fawning over the penalty from Ronaldo is making me want to spew as is Linekar creaming over his purposefully tensioned abs.

I dont like juve any more or less than real. But the rolling round. The feigning of injuries. Play acting etc. Just ruining the game. Its getting softer and softer. As are the fans.

Lets do some simple maths, ok? Even you should understand this.
The foul was commited at about 2 minutes 30 seconds into 3 minutes of injury time. I looked at the time. So that means after the penalty there would have been about 30 seconds remaining to add on.
Are you telling me that you think Michael Oliver didn't add that extra 30 seconds on after the kick off?

You what? What the **** has the red got to do with anything? That was given during time that isn't to be added on. I'll reiterate
3 minutes of playable added time. 2 min 30 secs was played then the foul. then there was 5 or 6 minutes of nonsense. then there was the penalty. and then there was the time after the kick off. Anything that happens during the 'nonsense' isn't to be added on to the playable injury time because, why should it?
So obviously it's you who doesn't understand how injury time works. Or fouls. Or offside.

Oliver in soft penalty shocker (again). Tother way round he'd have 5h!t out, but that's Oliver for you. Virtually every game he is in charge of he bums up the perceived preferable team!

Be interesting to see the reaction if a Leicester player bundles Barnes over in the 93rd minute on Saturday!

I understand added time perfectly well. I just understand that there's less ***** given in a 4-0 friendly than a 1-1 friendly. You're the one who doesn't understand why.
Also, look at you trying to deflect because you're embarrassed by your mistake in this thread. Bless.

So the rules dont apply in different games? So you are admitting that the officials are inconsistently poor at best or blatantly biased at worse.Imploding Turtle wrote:I understand added time perfectly well. They also allow loads more substitutions in friendlies than in other games. Maybe you didn't know that. And they give out far fewer yellows and reds in friendlies too. In fact quite often you'll see referees having a word with captains and managers if a player in a friendly is getting a little bit hot-headed and might get himself into trouble so that they can sub him off.
Yes, numbnuts, the officiating in friendlies is a little bit more relaxed than in Champions League quarter-finals. Why does this surprise you?
