Thanks Tony good write-up as always. Its not often I get to the Turf but did yesterday with my son who is an LFC season ticket holder-his turn to take the pain

It was a good fixture to come too-fabulous weather, a great buzz in the town and an obvious pride about their team- and why not

I sometimes read the reports back and wonder if I’m going over the top, but I’m not,it really has been this good.

Great report Tony. Just remind me, the last time we won five in a row, was that when we'd had a bad result away and Adamson made a load of changes and we kept winning 'til we played Swindon in the league cup?.

Was Oct/Nov 1968. The bad result was Liverpool at home and we then went on a run of eight straight wins with 6 in the league & two in the League Cup. Potts was the manager at the time.

"If only they hadn’t got that stoppage time penalty on the Turf.

[For those who don’t understand, penalties are free shots at goal from 12 yards that all other clubs are entitled to from time to time] "

Love it - well said!

Incredible stuff. Stringing wins together like that at any level is impressive, but to do it at the top table is immense.

I really like the look of our forward line. Wood and Barnes have a special understanding.

Great times.

Watching Mark Chapman, Keown and wright eulogise about us on MOTD2 was great.

Chappers was basically inferring that if Burnley get to Europe, we'll take it deadly seriously and offer no excuses. Dyche won't allow that to happen.

To quote Sean Dyche from a recent article:

"There have been some tough times in these parts, both at the club and in the area, generally and it's bringing a smile to a lot of faces. There's a really big connection and days like these must be good for everyone."

Great times to be a claret :)

Winning run was ended at Turf Moor, if I remember correctly, by Swindon Town,of all teams. I say that because they were a 3rd division team at the time but in the semis of the League Cup. Beat us again a few weeks later but I'll pass on the details.

Run was actually ended by Wolves four days earlier. We drew 1-1 against them at home.

Not many lines in articles make me laugh out loud but this one:
[For those who don’t understand, penalties are free shots at goal from 12 yards that all other clubs are entitled to from time to time]

and if we beat Chelsea then we are only 5 points behind them, so we will have 4 to play and 5th place could actually be up for grabs :) My mother told me to dream and grab for the stars and see where we go lol If anyone had mentioned a top ten finish before the Chelsea game I would have said dream on, I am definitely in dreamland these days.
