A bit of fun... The Beatles " She Loves You ", was No.1 in the Charts the day I drew my first breath, Elvis Presley with " Little Sister " topped the " Hit-Parade " when Mrs Clarets4me's was born, ( very apt, as she had 2 older brothers! ) ...... some legends at work in our day....
What was the soundtrack to your entrance into the World ??

Is it the revealing of your age, or the particular No.1 in question, that is the cause of your reticence ??

I thought someone might start a thread linking #1's to certain dates in history after I posted the chart topper at the time of the Orient game.
I see a few of us on this thread were born within a matter of days of each other...
On the day I was born "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" had took top spot from "She Loves You".

I was born exactly 71 years ago yesterday, the 27th April 1947. The first hit parade in the UK wasn't published until the 14th November 1954, which means I don't have a birthday No. 1 record. Another of the joys of getting old.

Sorry I think it should be 1952 not 54 for the first hit parade. Al Martino was number one with 'Here in my Heart' on that day.

You're one of two classes of people let down by the buying tastes of the Great British Public, " Shaddap your face " kept " Vienna " by Ultravox off the top position, the other one being Elvis Presley's " Suspicous Minds " kept off No 1 spot by " Two little Boys " by Rolf Harris...
N.B: Beat me to it " Dazzler " !!

I've just done the wife's birth date and it was Elvis 'Devil in Disguise'.
I don't know why he added the in disguise bit?

I could've been a Man City glory hunter !
