Next Manager?

It is undoubtedly a fair assumption that the next two games will be Dyche's last before we lose him to a bigger club.

On that basis surely now is the time to start planning for his replacement.

Who is the best suited/most likely to take up the job?

Could we see an unexpected return of Howe with the promise of European football? Where will Dyche go next?

He’s going to be the next England manager once GS is hounded out of the job following our ‘shock’ exit from the World Cup in the group stages........

Poor.

As Blackadder once said, that's about as obvious as a giraffe wearing sunglasses and a bow tie
trying to get into a "Polar Bears Only" party.

Must try harder.

He's obviously going to a bigger club.

Leeds perhaps or Aston Villa.

Yes of course he's going after the next 2 games  . What would be the point ? As for the next manager we should be watching Paul Cook.

He'll probably leave us for Kettering Town in 2038.

No one bigger than Burnley wants Dyche, so he is going nowhere

I'm not bothered where he's going next as I'm simply a Dyche supporter so wherever he goes I shall just support that club ;)

Wouldn’t be a long term appointment though. He moves on very quickly. Strong rumours that he could move again this summer.

No. Unless jokes have the appropriate emoji attached I'm lost.

Our next manager is likely to be better than the two we've had in the past 5 years, SD the championship winning manager and SD the premier league manager. My guess is we'll get SD the Europa league manager, I'd be happy with that.

Hi Crusty, you nearly had me there. Then I remembered that our Board started planning for the next manager while the ink was still drying on Sean Dyche's contract.

The next two games are the last of this season, but competitive games start earlier than before with Europa qualifying rounds.

I find it very sad that we have a thread discussing this at a time when we are 7th. Sean signed a new 5 year contract a few weeks ago. He doesn’t seem like the sort of guy who would do that then walk out weeks later. I suspect the challenge of leading Burnley FC in Europe will be one he relishes.

I agree with the original post. Sean Dyche has now peaked at Burnley and won't get a top 6 job.

I think he should try and challenge himself; maybe a crack at the big club of Sunderland?

I believe that our Sean has slowly fallen in love with Burnley and is grateful for all the support he has had from the club the Board and us the fans

I can’t see him going anywhere

Which is great as far as I am concerned

I can’t believe that no one has mentioned the obvious outstanding candidate, Sol Campbell.

The FA and Brighton are right.
