Prize money for finishing 7th
Not seen it mentioned anywhere and struggling to find reliable information online about it but I was just wondering how much we stand to actually gain just from simply finishing where we have finished. I remember the first time we came up and relegation was confirmed that the board and people on here stressed the importance of finishing 18th as opposed to 20th as it was worth an extra 800k or something, mad how far we have come since then.

Re: Prize money for finishing 7th
£47.17 million it is then.
Re: Prize money for finishing 7th
Equal shares of the overseas TV rights around 47million just over 27 million for finishing 7th 38million per club and then about 12million for a minimum 10 games on TV even if as in our case only on 7 times-I believe it is about 1.2 million per game-so about 124 million about 17 million more than last season. It turns out about 2 million per place hence just playing 38 games losing all of then and never on TV would net you under 100million plus whatever the club can raise from advertising, sponsorship gate money merchandise and pies.

Re: Prize money for finishing 7th
These are the figures for last season and I think they will remain the same for 2016/17. We will get what we got last season then other than the merit payment which will now be £27,182,526 rather than £9,708,045. That will give us a total of £118,712,035.

Interesting how the figures differ where you look for the info. So with CT's breakdown the overseas money is 39 not 47, , 35 and not 38 million equal shares. So we should get £127800,699-£9088664 or £118712035 so the end game is still about £17million more than last season.

I just hope we do something good with it and sort the ground out. No, I don’t mean at the detriment to our squad and status, just something that will last 20-30 years that already needs updating.

I think we’ve been very sensible so far as the training ground shows. I would think if we could stay up for another couple of years it could see improvements to the Turf.Claretforever wrote:I just hope we do something good with it and sort the ground out. Re: Prize money for finishing 7th
As it currently stands we will receive £123.6M (£84.4 fixed, £26.9M Merit based & £12.3M facility fee). That could rise by £1.94M should we move into 6th or fall by £1.94M if Everton overtook us.

Yep, forty per cent, apparently.
But well get a big wedge, and of course, we've had good value from him already.

CT's listed fixed payments above were said to be £79,151,989 which is £5.25million less than listed by bfcmik and dazzler.

Does any of you feel you've hit the ceiling? Will 7th be the best you can ever achieve realistically?
Re: Prize money for finishing 7th
If you look very carefully you will notice the table that CT posted is from the 2016/17 season.mdd2 wrote:CT's listed fixed payments above were said to be £79,151,989 which is £5.25million less than listed by bfcmik and dazzler.

Re: Prize money for finishing 7th
Yes and no. Yes I think this is the best we can ever achieve realistically, but I have thought that in nearly every single one of Dyche's seasons here. That leads me to no, I don't think we have hit a ceiling, I think if Dyche stays and we keep spending wisely, slowly improving as we have, we could go higher.Saxoman wrote:Does any of you feel you've hit the ceiling?
