The Absolute Irony of Brighton Fans
A video going round twitter today of alleged Brighton fans chanting "Wilfreds Zaha Got Malaria" on the train
https://twitter.com/SO_Selhurst/status/ ... 2770754560" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Of course each fanbase has absolute morons but funny how Brighton ask for a police investigation of racist language with no proof but gets a video leaked of racist language less than a week later. Looking forward to the FA Comment on this one

As long as they didn’t boo, that’s what we really need to stamp out of football

I wonder if the FA can punish the club for fans chanting on a train.

Re: The Absolute Irony of Brighton Fans
On the train following the 2-2 draw in 2016, some 8-9 year old kids (with their parents) were shouting ‘we hope you get cancer and die’ to Burnley fans in the queue for the next train. When I had a go at their parents, they just shrugged their shoulders and said it was just ‘kids stuff’
When I effed and jeffed a bit, someone had a go at me for swearing in front of their kids.
Sooner they’re back in the 4th division, the better.

Hopefully everybody can now agree that all clubs have unsavoury fans and we all need to work hard to remove racism from society.
But I suspect it will descend into petty squabbling. Again.

**** house club and fans of the highest order.
There's a thread about it on their forum and they are dismissing it because apparently anyone can get malaria, not just black people. Funny how their logic swings when they can't play the victim.

Hehe aye, i'm simply advising that if they want to set themselves up as the moral arbiters of football, they can't be ignoring this. So much whatabouteryClaretMoffitt wrote:**** house club and fans of the highest order.

Re: The Absolute Irony of Brighton Fans
I liked Brighton when their ground was the Goldstone and their rivals were Orient.
In the 20 years since I have come to loathe them. The very definition of plastic newcomers.

Re: The Absolute Irony of Brighton Fans
Was always made to feel welcome down around the Goldstone in yesteryear. They were a good bunch, seems the plastics have well and truly taken over at the new ground, shame really as it's great that teams who have struggled have made it to the PL
