Corgi classic commemorative Ribblesdale Burnley coach
Corgi classic commemorative Ribblesdale Burnley coach
I have a mint condition boxed Corgi Classic Ribblesdale Coach with supporters, brought out to commemorate Burnley winning the 1st division title in 1960. which has to go. My son has Muscular Dystrophy so all I'm asking for is a donation online to Muscular Dystrophy UK. Postage is free. The highest bidder wins even if it's only £2.
I'll give it the weekend to see if anyone is interested. Cut off time will be 08.00 Monday morning.
Here is a link to the coach on Ebay.

Re: Corgi classic commemorative Ribblesdale Burnley coach
Have one myself and even though I wasn't (quite) around at the time and it has only been since 1970/71 that I have been a Burnley fan, it gives me lots of joy seeing it and thinking about that night (as fantastically captured in that thread the other day).
So I heartily recommend it to all true Clarets and wish you and your lad all the very best.

Should I purchase the Corgi bus from you I will be happy to pay you in advance for the postage
as it will have to be sent to my address here in Solvang, California. I am familiar with the corgi bus as I was living in Burnley when the clarets won the first division title in 1960.
Prayers for your son.

Looks like the coach could be on it's way to California. I'll check on postage and let you know tomorrow how much it will cost. Bank Holiday here so can't do anything today.
Thanks for all the bids and it far exceeded my expectations.

Firthy
As a life long supporter of Burnley since I was 5 yrs old in 1960 I regularly read the forum discussions with interest but had not registered before now.
I noticed your posting on Sunday and had decided to bid for the coach but found the site wouldn’t send me an activation email and couldn’t contact the administrator. Remembered this morning I have a second email address and this permited me to register and activate the membership.
JUST IN CASE the coach is still available and given your circumstances and how worthy your cause is I would be happy to donate £100 to the Muscular Dystrophy UK.
My family and I will be attending the last game should that help with any postage. Otherwise happy to supply my UK contact details

Re: Corgi classic commemorative Ribblesdale Burnley coach
Obviously I'd prefer to let you have it as it would be simpler to post to the UK and better for the charity. I'll wait and see if Carifclaret is okay with this as I don't like going back on my word.Harrowby wrote:Firthy

Re: Corgi classic commemorative Ribblesdale Burnley coach
Good Day Firthy, hope you are enjoying Bank Holiday today. After considering the Corgi Bus, if
you are happy with Harrowby taking it then go ahead and let him have it, it really should be
kept in the UK and hopefully in Burnley area. I well remember the Burnley fans returning from Man City following Burnleys victory there, I lived at the top of Manchester Road and the fans
were very noisy on their return. Best to your son.

Good evening Firthy
My apologies for hitting the submit button prematurely just now.
I have just seen the latest post from Califclaret l. He has shown real generosity in his message and I thank him very much for that.
IF he is happy for this exchange to proceed I would like to go ahead with the transaction.
I have checked the charity’s website and will contact them tomorrow about options for ways of donating either over the phone or on line. I will then contact you to confirm how you want to complete the process and the preferred way of communicating with each other.
Best Regards and a big thank you to Califclaret
